This may not be the case, but certainly in my experience either being a sender or a recipient, HDNL or Yodel, the courier service Mothercare use can be somewhat unreliable.

Once the goods have left Mothercare, they are relying on the courier company to get the delivery to you. It is somewhat out of their hands once it has been collected by the courier company.

I understand your frustration as I too am annoyed about a delivery but it isn't as simple as you place an order from Mothercare and they use their Mothercare owned courier service.

Granted, some of the staff are a bit dizzy, but you will find this in most large companies. If you are unhappy with the person you spoke to, try speaking to someone else.

The number I contact Mothercare on is: 01923 210 210 then when prompted, press 2 and then 1. If you haven't been already, try this number. It's either free (phone tarrif dependent) or substantially cheaper to call than the premium number they advertise which can sometimes be an added frustration.

Hope that helps and that you get it resolved.

Well to be fair , Mothercare cause the problem by not sending next day delivery, apparnatly tjhe goods are on van , but still not had them today :( 4 days now for a next delivery.
and after writing a complaint letter on wednesday still no reply on it... mothercrae CS stink am really unhappy at the srevice this time, wish i hd got it ordered to shop now as it would of been there yesterday
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

I just wanted to say THANK YOU OP!!! I managed to get three safety gates for under £40.00 :j

 now all I need to do is get them fitted and my Lo will be safer around the stairs and kitchen.

    They have just been delivered!

    Thank you again.

  • Big thanks op, picked my trunki's up today, they are quite big aren't they! They refused to put them in a bag but offered a bin bag as the CEO has stated they are not allowed to waste bags (weird as I'm sure that it's not the case) Did get some rather odd looks but I'm pleased with the price I paid, even more impressed with the customer services team who have been fantastic.

My order came today. 2 boxes of newborn nappies, 2 tubes of nipple cream, one travel bottle warmer flask thing, and a pack of 6 muslin squares for £27. Hope the bargains and glitches keep coming, our baby isn't due until beginning of march so plenty of time to stock up :D

You'll need more than 6 muslin squares I tell thee! My DS is almost 5 months and i'm still getting through at least 3 a day (sometimes 1 per feed so 5 a day) so I have a stash of about 15 I can work through.

Don't go overboard on small nappies either as DS is in size 3 already. DS1 is 2 years old and can fit in size 4s so as you can see, 19 month age gap but only one nappy size different.

Apologies if this isn't your first and you know all this :o Can't remember if you said it was your first.
  • I've got 1 out of 3 of the giga boxes I ordered, is this normal? It said not to ring for 2days as more may come seperate deliveries. I thought that would be on different products, not all the same?

I collected my nappies and wipes today, I don't think I will be needing any nappies until the baby reaches 1! Thanks again for this, you really have saved me a fortune! Wish now I had managed to get some other orders through. I did manage to pick up a couple of bargains instore with my £5 off £30 spend. Lots of nice half price baby clothes!
