Hi
i just got the normal edition
when you look on the tesco entertainment website under delivery times it did state in red writing that it will come 2 working days before release it now states "We endeavour to deliver pre-orders placed 2 working days prior to date of release on the release date."
I phoned them and they said they are under strict instruction not to release the game early- all orders will therefore be sent first class on monday... pfft....0 -
thanks for letting me know, lets just hope it does arrive tuesday as first class round here is taking 2-3 days!0

I've ordered mine from Blockbuster, just because I know they are reliable, you get £20 worth of rental vouchers thrown in too

All suppliers have been requested to do this by Activision.
I pre-ordered from shopto, as they always get the game out at least a day early, not this time as they are following this request from Activision:)0 -
My copy is going to be picked up from local store and hopefully i can get it once i finish work which would be handy as ill be finishing at 10 or maybe a little later0

its the same with the cod series every year, they coudl get fined for selling the games too early but you would have thought the supermarkets would see it as a chance to steal the line on the competitors.0 -
Sure they are warned with every release- but many retailers ignore it to become renownded for getting their customers copies a day or so early in order to get more sales.
The guy I spoke to in tesco said that they intended to ship them on today but the warning they got this year was sufficient enough to delay shipping till Monday.. which sucks!0 -
Worth mentioning:Stepto Stephen Toulouse (Xbox LIVE Director of Policy and Enforcement)
clarification: dblchk'd with Activision. Mw3 pre-release play not authorized. So pls be patient. Playing early may impact your account!
So if it does come early, don't be tempted..0 -
but then ive read numerous times that it doesnt matter if you play a game early as long as you got it legit eg its not a copy or you havent stolen it
That's 'from the horses mouth' as they say. Personally, I don't think losing the ability to play and the hassle of trying to get your account reinstated is worth chancing it for though.0
