Funny how the thread has got a few new users defending Ebuyer.

Okay are you aware for a start when the order was placed it wasn't long before it was in 'picking' meaning and we couldn't cancel.

Right now if we the customers placed an order from Ebuyer and it was in picking (regardless of what the item was) and we change our mind we couldn't cancel. If we then had to wait X amount of days before the item arrived on our door steps, then we told Ebuyer sorry it was a mistake can we have our money back, you would be lucky to get a reply let alone able to send it back. Yes the Distance selling act can be enforced but we all know how bad ebuyer are, they repeatly break the law (LOOK on the net if you don't believe me)

I suggest you check there terms and conditions 2.3 they never even offered us the item at a new price. Or is that a mistake too.

You have the cheek to call us pathetic - suggest you look to own actions first before being so critical of others.

    Okay

yes funny that ha ha ha!! - you are all becoming paranoid - you have tunnel vision when it comes to this you may as well be wearing blinkers because you can not see the reality of this - it was a mistake - the law allows for them. You knew full well it was a mistake - none of this rubbish about how it could be the genuine price - it was discussed in the forums and newsgroups as a mistake...no one absolutely no one was of the belief this was genuine. I am not defending ebuyer at all because I feel they have nothing to defend..

Who mentioned murder! !!!!!! we are talking about someone missing a zero off on a price on a website

just how offensive can you be to the victims of such a crime in comparing it to a misprice...you fool!

houding is what some peoples intentions are here - clearly - perhaps they should ask themselves about the following scenario

you pursue ebuyer till they are forced (unlikely) to honor the offer..they go into administration because of it..what about all the people that have outstanding transactions with them - those with orders placed and goods not yet despatched - those awaiting refunds - because of the stupid greedy and selfish actions of the grabbers the genuine customer will suffer....but then as selfish and stupid as most of the people involved here they wouldnt give a toss!

no one here believes this was not a mis-price. Even if all that happens is ebuyer sort out there terms and conditions and treat customers better, this would be a good thing.

The point is their terms seem to conflict with one another, and they have broken some of them too. Surely you believe a company should be punished in some way for behaving like this.

    Right where was I.
TS said that I have every right to pursue this as loss of bargain as long as I can prove I genuinly believed it was at a correct price, not a mistake.
If I knew it was a mistake and proceeded to get in their quick then I dont have a case.
I was also told that ebuyer can be done for misleading buyers but a judge will look on it as a genuine mistake especially as the price was so far out.

I was also told to contact newspapers etc so other people can be aware of ebuyer.

I was also told that it is possible to take them to court but was it worth it as it will probably go in suppliers favour irrespective of T+C.

And last of all contact ebuyer put your case across and see what they have to offer.
