Enote is a waste of time, 7 buisness days for an answer. If we are lucky.
Might be best to write to them
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -
I also got payment taken and so have sent them an email requesting that they honour the legally binding contract which resulted.

However..if everybody does the same..do not keep posting the fact that you have done this, on this thread.
It will become dull, boring and the thread will lose its interest!!
I am only reading the posts that have something interestingly new, to say!!When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -

For the funds to show as cleared there must be a "ebuyer - £30" on your bank statement/mini statment from atm/online banking, untill thats there the payment has only been authorised, do you have online banking or similar so you can check?
e.g if i went to supermarket and sepent £20 on food it would not appear on my statement stright away, but my available money to withdraw would be my ballance less my supermarket spend, since the payment is authorised not cleared, its my understanding it takes a couple of days for a payment to clear0 -

Well my ebanking is now showing todays transactions (07th March) but my total balance hasn't changed yet so I can't say for certain but Ebuyer isnt on it, although some of my other debit card transactions from Friday are showing so it looks like they have just cancelled the original transaction.
I don't think this really matters though does it, because we all have emails from ebuyer confirming that "Payment has been successfully taken" surely thats good enough?0 -

If you went to the checkout and ordered a TV in an Argos store and paid for it and were given the receipt and told to wait and collect it at the collection points they could hardly appear and tell you that you can't have it as they've got none in stock or made a mistake. It's too late - they've accepted your offer of purchase and have a contract.
That's exactly what's happened - we responded to ebuyers invitation to treat, our offer was duly accepted by ebuyer taking payment and a contract formed. They accepted the contract and as such are liable for breach of it.
Funny you should say that, when Argos had the RO sale I bought a sony minidisc. I reserved it, paid for it and was given a receipt. Went to collect it but they said it had already been sold to a member of staff and he forgot to take it off the stock list.
Didnt think much of it and got a refund. Blast :mad:0 -

you obviously haven't shopped at Argos lately!!! common occurence for them to accept cash issue receipt and then find they have no stock..have even had them say the price is a mistake..0
