Moggins - glad you are going to book the holiday, i hope you can get through tomorrow, it sounds lovely!!!!

Crazychik - hope DD is ok xx

dlb, tru, lil-me and any others giving up smoking - i think you are all doing really well, good luck and keep going!!!!!!!

Well, i dont seem to have done much today, other than spend money!!!! Went to Trago Mills this morning, but wasnt able to find any cushions that i liked, well, did find one, but i needed five, so no point in buying that one!!!! Did pick up some birthday cards, some small hand towels for the little ones to use in the toilet and some odds and bobs that are useful and ended up spending £16 , so couldve been worse. Then did my weekly shop at Mr Ts, and spent £25, mostly fresh fruit and veg - its no wonder people dont eat more the price you have to pay!!!! Then finally i filled the car with petrol, and that was just under £45:eek:

Oopps, pressed post by mistake!!!! Never mind.

Hopefully, i wont need any more petrol for a long time, and im still hoping for a cheap month food wise, just wish i could find a cheaper source of fruit and veg, but even in town, or the local garden centre it costs the same as Tescos or Lidls!!!
Right, as i have done nothing but spend today, im now off to hoover before getting my 2 to bed and i can settle down to watch celeb BB in peace!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely evening,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good Evening All - Hope your day's gone well!

I've literally got home 35mins ago, jumped in the bath, bathed DD, and ironed uniforms for work/school tomorrow. Im sorry, Ive not had chance to read everyone's post since this morning. Have I missed owt?

DS got on ok at the Birmingham Childrens Hospital, the gum has been caused by him gnawing his tooth on it, its in-flamed and infected, got to brush harder than usual untill the gum slightly bleeds and continue for another 2-3 weeks with the mouth wash, and then go back for another check up! If its still the same, they will numb his gum to remove the flappy excess! Phhewwwww! At least I know His bone implant has taken, and everything is ok with that. I was very apologetic - they said I did right by bringing him there, rather than going to our local dentist - just incase they did any work which would have affected the bone implant.

Had to endure nearly 2hrs with my EX MIL & FIL. Traffic was starting to get heavy as we left the hospital, so we paid them a vist, until the traffic died down. EX brought mine and the kids tea, so I wasn't complaining.

Im tired now, Im going to watch CELEB BB, then go to bed. As I finished work early today, I'll be working the extra hour tomorrow. At least its nearly the week end. Hurray!

    Anyway, good night all
Sleep tight and catch you all in the morning
Take care & Love as usual

Well I am very very tired.

Went to Heathrow yesterday to wait in hotel for the very early morning arrival of DD3 aged 9 from Qatar where she has been for Xmas with her Dad. Got to bed last night at about 10pm but could I sleep?? No I could not! I raced around that bed all night, OH snoring with his cold and the air conditioning blasting out, one min I was hot then I was cold, then hungry then thirsty eventually I must have slept coz the alarm went off at 5.15am and I leapt out of bed, into the shower and made some coffee at the same time - amazing!!!!

Went to the airport sat around had coffee, met DD3 at 7.30 (yes it took from 6-7.30 for her to clear after landing) then went 125 miles home. Then I do not know what possessed me but we went to Bristol shopping!!!!! Then after I had purchased some saucepans using vouchers for Xmas and a large number of things from Lush - not to mention a few books from Smiths with vouchers we went home.

I took DD1, still recovering from car crash to the beauty place to get a wax done on heaven knows where and I still had to go quickly to Morrisons to get last min things for Slimming World diet due to start tomorrow.

At 5.30 this evening I went with OH to SW and signed up. I have put on 1 stone since the summer so not all of the 2 stone I lost last year has gone back on but it was going to be touch and go if I did not return now. I will get cracking on some veg soup in the SC in a mo then bed.

For anyone wondering what happened to my ironing of yesterday morning - it is still waiting to be done and on my bedroom floor under the ironing board. If I put it away again that will be it. I have a mystery shop to do tomorrow but may get the ironing done as well - you never know. DD3 back at school tomorrow and I have to go to her achievement award ceremony tomorrow afternoon so I will prepare to be proud.

    What a waffle.

Well done DLB etc for not smoking, I hope I can do as well with my diet.

    Love to all

    Hi

Just read your message Lelc, the last time that I was given a charge at the bank I just phoned them and told them it was my mistake that I was overdrawn and they refunded the charge easily enough. I dont know if all banks do it this easily or not (it was Bank of Scotland).

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for this - I'm going to try it too. dd is on IS and the bank charged her 38 quid because of insufficient funds - this was a transfer to another account at the same bank which she makes every week out her benefits in order to pay her bills. i am fuming as this is a massive chunk out of her benefits - she is only 17 love her and scared to make a fuss - will let you know how we get on

Put two loads of washing on line and dishes in the dishwasher before going out this morning with DD (21) to Leeds.

We did a bit of shopping at primark and then went to see "Casino Royale".

Got home at about 6p.m. then I had to head back out to get last minute extra birthday present for DD(12) to give to friend.

Finally managed to get on here to say hello before having hot chocolate and early night.

    Hugs to all.

Even now it's still not up and running properly for me. I have only skimmed the thread today as it's quite long and I only have a short time before I head out the door.

Big pat on the back for the non-smokers :D that are giving up the weed.

    Hello Everyone,

Not been long in, as went to my parents straight from work. I have read through all the posts, I hope that all who are feeling unwell feel better soon, and well done those who have given up smoking. I have never smoked, but my DH used to, so I have some idea on how hard it is to give it up.

Kyle, did you make the french sticks in a BM? My DH loves french bread and I have wondered about making the rolls ourselves as the ones I've bought recently from the supermarket have not been that special.

Moggins, I hope that you book your holiday tomorrow, it sounds a lovely place. I understand how edgy you were feeling earlier as I have been feeling that way myself lately due to unexpected household repair bills.

Gingin, I like the idea of having a spending diary, I will have to start this one up. I wonder if I can manage to persuade DH to record everything? I very much doubt it ....

Sorry I can't remember who posted this, but I liked the suggestion that was made about visiting the library and looking through the craft books and then deciding what to do and giving it a go. This is something that I am going to do, I used to be so creative when I was a teenager, but over the last few years I've lost it all....now I am looking forward to discovering what it is that I really want to spend my spare time doing...

Time for me to go and have my hot milk and get ready for bed, it's such a struggle getting up in the mornings, I'm looking forward to the lighter mornings.

    Chat tomorrow.

  • have pressed the thanks button all over the place but just want to say thanks for all your kind words.

OS-ing today, cheap shop in Tesco. It is now becoming Very Normal for me to just buy what I need & often cheaper versions as well.

    Done some ironing.

Can't wait for Monday. Will hopefully kick my husband out & try & get the house is some dort of order.
