And I know for a fact that the first photo is not visible from this property. It's been on the market for a long time (no kitchen?!) and they are clearly getting desperate.0 -

Conveniently forgetting to mention that the 2000 floods will have led to a flood claim...0 -

What an ugly extension! How did it pass planning approval because of the flooding and it being out of place (esp in a city like York) is beyond me.0 -

That has to rate as the most mismatched house extension I've ever seen. It's fine and the house itself is fine, but the two together:eek:
They're not unusual in not mentioning the flood risk. There is a whole fair size area in my location where the houses are priced at pretty much the same level as equivalent houses elsewhere here. The difference is though that these houses are at high risk of flooding and now have skyhigh insurance premiums to reflect that fact (people living in them have been told that their insurance premiums have gone up around 800% this year and I'd bet my bottom dollar they aren't mentioning that fact to would-be buyers). They are currently having to hunt around like crazy to find a company that will cover them at "normal" rates. I can't imagine that, given another year or two, they will be able to find anyone that will insure them at "normal" cost. I do feel sorry for people who own those houses, but it isn't "cricket" for a whole neighbourhood to collude in hiding the fact that those houses have lost a huge amount of their value. I really wouldn't want to be one of the people who buys them at a "normal" price for that type of house this year and then tries to sell them on in a couple of years time.0 -

I can see a kitchen. But pic 8, what on earth is the point of that. Maybe the ea is fed up with the place.0 -

And do a washload the day the EA come round to take photos?0 -
And ok the pics of your laundry with the EA!
Seriously - every house I have ever sold, the EA has shown me the pics they have taken and got my approval before using them. Does that not happen anymore?

All it takes is a clean with a £1 bottle of Wizz Mould&Mildew remover.
EA must be a slacker not to encourage them to sort that out.Tough times never last longer than tough people.0
