A lot of the houses we saw (and indeed the one I eventually bought) where probate sales. One we called the "House of Death", because not only did it smell of death, one had the horrible feeling that the previous owner may have left physically, but not spiritually.....
Some case I had the impression that the owner had moved into a home, or was staying with relatives, which had a nicer atmosphere.
On whole most of the houses reminded me of my grandparents house; decorated to a high standard in 1978, maintained to a high standard, but never _updated_.0 -

Been on the market for ages, they keep dropping the price but unsurprisingly no one wants to live in a bunker!
I couldn't live there, I would need more natural light, light, light!8k in 2015 Challenge ( #167)0 -
I quite like Lustleigh but I've always found it a bit spooky (although only one other person I know agrees). This house is not actually in the village so might be OK.......0 -

There is a house near me with a similar garden - ie super cluttered, plenty of gnomes etc.
I've always wondered what it would look like inside (not that I'm nosey of course) - now I have a very good idea!!!!
That's hilarious :rotfl:0
