I tried papering the inside of my bath. Fancied a change from white.
Didnt last long. Should have thought it through.0 -
Seeing as you asked... The property was apparently owned by an eccentric. It was originally two small cottages that were demolished sometime after 1996, and the current house built - The estate agent did try to tell me it was the mid 70s when the work was done, but according to the council, planning permission was granted in August 1996 (https://secure.broadland.gov.uk/MVM.DMS/Planning%20Application/542000/542812/19960657%20decision%20notice.pdf)
Being somewhat eccentric, the owner had certain ideas about decor, and it would appear that many of the "period features" were salvaged from other buildings.
Was also assured that there was no smell from the chicken sheds across the road. I'll take that with a pinch of salt and a nose clip. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Gosh, I'm somewhat amazed PP was granted. It's certainly unique I'll give it that!:)
Wonder if man up ladder is the eccentric himself?0 -

Is that brick effect wallpaper in the bathroom and elsewhere as well as actual exposed brick in other parts of the house.?0 -
When I first went to the link I thought house was a former pub/club-house/hall. It's just plain odd isn't it? It's very difficult to imagine where you'd start with it.0

Lordy! Given me a headache has that!
And how did you manage to resurrect the old thread? That was well clever!
Can the new one be somehow amalgamated with it?0 -
Around the world views in two bedrooms, plus the lounge could be of interest to the local Indian resteraunt, should the require an aditional dining area.
And there wasn't quite enough pink paint left in the tin, it same.
