This is why the authorities need to be less trigger happy in designating seemingly anything and everything nowadays as listed. Other than being old, what significance / value / merit does this place bring?! A perfect example of something that would be far better being demolished and rebuilt, but will probably remain a stagnant wreck because of the costs involved in refurbishing in line with restrictions making it unviable for majority of developers.
The trouble is that developers would deliberately vandalise an old house that was grade 2 listed just so they could knock it down and build some modern box.0 -

I'm a sports fan, but without having an actual view of the field and just getting the noise i'd probably hate it.
More homes on the doorstep of stadiums or built on former grounds like Highbury Square here: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/news/articles/dream-properties/the-homes-inside-next-door-and-above-football-stadiums/
As a child, I loved having the old Wembey Stadium as a playground. My Dad was on the management and worked most nights, so I'd tag along. My favourites were the speedway, or the ice shows in what was then the Empire Pool. Greyhound racing, 'the dogs', was tolerable, but I didn't go to the football much. Mum and I walked out of one FA Cup because we were bored!:rotfl:0 -

There is a history round this way where 'difficult' properties mysteriously catch fire. The only option left is clearance and new build.
How convenient.0 -

I'd rather have a railway than a busy road, personally. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
