Here's a cracker for you, with so many weird features and options it's mind-boggling:

    https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-78313388.html

    On the surface, it's idyllic.....

I won't say much, except to note that the property opposite and most of the other properties visible in the drone pictures are for sale too and have been for some time. One has just had permission for two 'holiday lodges' refused. Some people also bought the wood in the middle background of Pic1 and now seem to be permanently camped in it.

    Draw your own conclusions.

No, I don't live close by, but I walk around Heywood Castle woods quite often. Happily, it's on t'other side of the river. ;)

    Red/green colour-blindness is quite common.

I think calling that a two bedroom house is a bit of a push given the dimensions of bedroom two. However I guess there’s lots of options for sleeping outside!

I think there was an original plan to extend...in wood, but it was rejected by the planners. Given that experience, it seems the owners have gone ahead with their business without formal approval:
"Lakemoor has been run as a camping & glamping business throughout 2018 and we understand this can continue while official permissions are established, with just a risk assessment on the borehole required for the camping element."

No longer on the market, but how about this for chocolate-box cottage appeal? https://www.onthemarket.com/details/5203191/

Lovely and who wouldn't want a media barn :)
I love thatch too but then I think about what it must feel like sitting under in on fireworks night.

Regarding thatch and fireworks; on NYE we looked and listened at midnight and there wasn't a single bang or flash from the little town a mile away, just insane ringing of the church bells.

However, after they stopped, there were mighty explosions nearby, as the only people with a thatched roof within rocket range hosted a continuous display lasting nearly ten minutes.
