Looks nice - and I like the area too (only marred by the "usual suspects" pavement parking:cool:).

All that I could see wrong with the house itself being that it's semi-detached and not detached and I'd want to change the colour of kitchen cabinets personally. OOh....and they've got one of those John Lewis garden thingies to sit in - I'd want that one to come with the house too...

That one would do me nicely - apart from being semi-detached.
I liked it too and would definitely have negotiated for that pod :) However it did not make my list as it has no bath and the shower is far too new to consider ripping out.

Ooh the John Lewis pod thingummy! I really fancy having one of those, but when I saw the price tag my wallet screamed and had a nervous breakdown.

    Not just the over 70's:rotfl:.

If something needs replacing anyway - then I'll check out as to whether to "update" in the course of replacing - but that does mean "needs" and not "wants" to me.

If I'd kept my last house, for instance, then I had that kitchen done in the 1980's (when I bought it) and it was pure 1980's style. It did need replacing anyway (over 20 years later) and I'd have therefore done the replacement in 21st century style (since I had to do it anyway). But wouldn't have changed it just because it was 1980's style - the change would have been because it was pretty much falling apart by then after years of use.

This is how I think about things. When I had to buy my ex out of my house, I got an estate agent round to value things. He kept saying, Hmm, this is dated, that is dated, but to be honest, it's only me and my two girls in there.

I don't think it looks too bad, but I bought it in 2006 and haven't done anything to the "dated" things, i.e. kitchen and bathroom, but have decorated.

The main reason is that I'm finding it hard enough keeping up with the mortgage payments, plus it all works!

Street View! Is it the "mob" or the Google car that has spooked our vendors and caused them to come out armed with a broom?

So even in the "perfect" village of Poundbury, someone has to extend their house. Seems very expensive for a 3 bed semi without en suite.

First fire damaged property too. Not a bad gaff for the money, but I'd prefer to be a few miles west of there.

Is that a fire extinguisher I see on the wall of the fire-damaged garage?
