Part of me thinks doing that house up would be fun, though the hdeous out of keeping double glazing would have to go.. But even though I live in London the rest of me has clearly not come to terms with London prices.

No - she was Welsh! When they put that house on the market, in the late 1970s, she was well miffed because the Estate Agent wouldn't make a 'feature' of the outside loo. She was adamant that it was a good selling point.


And she never did get her head round the fact that when Mr S and I bought our home (early 1990s) it had three toilets - all indoors. She kept saying 'but why have you got three loos when you've only got two bums between you?'

Picture 3 doesn't look like it belongs in the same house as the others. I suppose that was the nice room reserved 'for company', but why does it look like there's a bed rather than a sofa in it?

Love it! A rare find these days (unmodernised) but lordy - London prices!! :eek:
Although its proximity to Finchley Central Station will have added a sizable chunk to the asking price.

Very bad copy of the architects plans. Even when I know what it says, like "Velux," I can't really claim that I can read it.

Nah, there's nothing inside those that will burn and it's too uniform. I'm guessing that it's someone's bright idea of decorating the heaters in an 'industrial' style.

As they've been there for decades, that could've happened a long time ago in a colour scheme far, far away.....
