The one old-fashioned feature I briefly contemplated keeping...but a look at the house plan showed it would probably make most sense to knock down the wall between kitchen and dining room and put a wall up between dining room and sitting room.
That little alcove (that doesn't even reach to ceiling height) in the kitchen is going to be a bit of a problem when kitchen planning. Guess they'll have to resort to some posh floating shelves in there and use it as a "bookcase" for cookbooks.0 -
