I think it would be better just not being thereMy home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to sayIgnore......check!0 -

Picture one......how oppressive is that ceiling?
My dad would love that. Every house they've had that I can remember the 1st thing he's done is put up a tgv ceiling in the kitchen. I bought one of the houses off of them, and the first thing I did? Yep, ripped the ceiling down, was so satisfying, and just had it plastered and painted white. My dad came in when I was in the middle of tearing it down. His face! I honestly thought he was going to cry!Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0 -

I think it's quite cosy.
If that house was mine I might not have clad the ceiling in pine but that one doesn't bother me. The ceiling is so high and there's plenty of light getting into the room so it's not claustrophobic like some i've seen.
But then again, my ideal home would be a Swiss chalet.0 -

Look, no windows! Surprisingly looks like a normal house inside with normal windows.

There are some houses like that in Aberdeen. From the outside they're one of the ugliest houses i've ever seen. Never been inside one so can't comment on their insides.

Whoever thought it a good idea to build houses that ugly? Although a lick of paint and a bit of greenery and they look much better than the Welsh one.Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE!

I wondered that too - and what the architects think of them now. I don't think anyone could have considered them pleasing to the eye even when they were newly built!0 -
