£400K, 4 beds and only a shower room which is on the ground floor! If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
It looks like a mirror placed on the partition wall next to the window.devildolly5 wrote: »http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-52712688.html

Hmmm, I rarely put photographs of bedrooms, as they generally show little more than a bed! Similarly, it's difficult to get decent shots of many bathrooms.
May have to re-think this approach.0 -
Its the other side from pic 11, they have chopped a bay window!devildolly5 wrote: »http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-52712688.html

Definitely worth doing I think.
When we came to sell our old house last summer we decided to obtain quotes from 3 or 4 EAs before deciding which to use. The criteria we used to reduce the myriad of available options to a manageable shortlist were:
1 - Must have sold similar properties in the same area relatively recently
2 - Must include a floorplan, pictures of front & rear gardens and pictures of all major rooms (ie all bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom) in all (or at least the vast majority) of their listings.
IIRC There were 3 or 4 EAs which met the first criteria but we ruled out as they didn't meet the second.0 -
Personally, I want to see pictures of all the rooms, decent shots can be taken just about anywhere with the proper equipment and a bit of photographic knowledge. The fact that a bedroom may only show a bed at least shows that a bed can fit in it, which is more than can be said of many "4th bedroom" properties. No picture and I will assume that one won't fit in. That is really not a surprise I want, if I have travelled to view a property in person.Hmmm, I rarely put photographs of bedrooms, as they generally show little more than a bed! We looked at thousands of properties on-line (not an exaggeration) before choosing the ones to view and finally the one we bought. Gone are the days when a single picture in your window display will garner much attention. If we saw a house we liked in a window, we just went home and looked it up on the internet to see the details.
You probably have about 30 seconds to sell the virtues of a property on-line assuming you even get them to look at the detail and not just the picture in the list view. If all the info isn't there such as floor plan, pictures of everything, room dimensions, etc... then it would have to be something pretty spectacular for me not to lose interest and move on to the next property on the list.
Of course, this is just my view, others may well like the mystery and excitement of knowing virtually nothing of a house they are going to view, but we preferred to view only those houses we thought we might buy rather than treat it as a day out where you get the chance to poke into other people's cupboards and criticise their choice of bathroom suite.
In keeping with the theme of this thread and in illustration, we would have been more likely to have wanted to view a listing presented like this one: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-52635597.html
Than one like this one:

Which may, or may not, have as may "interesting" features as the first, as both are listed as requiring modernisation, I doubt anyone would have the same taste in wallpaper, but who knows?
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -
Seen a lot of those extensions to Edwardian terraces where people stick a shower room/loo at the end of the kitchen, really don't like those. Brother in law's house has it, but they'd like to demolish it to actually get more light into the kitchen.lincroft1710 wrote: ȣ400K, 4 beds and only a shower room which is on the ground floor!
Really not nice having that as the sole bathroom and having to go through the kitchen every time!0
