I know we feature probate properties, where time has stood still, but that's the sort of family house one occasionally sees where nothing looks like it's ever been new!0 -
Oh bless, he's lovely! Reminds me very much of our first cat, whose name was Silly... He wasn't at all! One of our enduring memories is we bought some smoked salmon... OH left it on the kitchen table for about 30 seconds, when he returned it had gone - paper bag, plastic wrapping sheet, smoked salmon, everything gulped down in one swallow! :eek:0 -
Ah, allowing the cat to go on the worktop or table was where you went wrong. Ours don't, and they don't know what human food is either. They think all the good stuff comes in shiny sachets.;)ukmaggie45 wrote: »Oh bless, he's lovely! Reminds me very much of our first cat, whose name was Silly... He wasn't at all! If either of ours decided to sit where that moggy is, they'd hear, "Whathbluuddyelld'yathinkyrdoinupthere??!!!" followed by a slipper heading towards their rear end as they rush out the cat flap.
We love our animals:A but they have to know their place, especially the sheep! :rotfl:0 -

Extenuating circumstances... At that point in time Silly belonged to the couple we flat shared with. We only became his slaves when they had to move to Bristol and weren't allowed pets in their new rental. So we took him on (or it would have been final trip to Vet ), he had a long and happy life, even managed to put up with babies and then small children. Think he lived to 18 - we never knew his birth year, it was always guestimate.0
