Such a shame as the house is beautiful...
Why is it a shame? I can't see much wrong with the house apart from a north facing sloping garden, but I suspect the extension, whenever it was done, was a cheapie. They'd have done better to give it a pitched roof and I have a suspicion it might be single skin, hence the lack of a sale at the advertised price.0 -

We loved this house. When we enquired, it was on with 2 estate agents. The day I called to arrange a viewing, it came up on RM with a 3rd EA.
The 3rd estate agent was the only one to include the photo of the kitchen-come-garage. You can see a gap at the bottom of the garage too...put me right off.
3 estate agent boards are now outside....screams desperation.

I think I've just realised the meaning of the phrase "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" then....:rotfl:. Errrrm....not my idea of beautiful then..:)
My idea of a bit of a mish-mash. By the time one has also added in wondering if there is a 3rd kitchen (ie in a conservatory) and spotted that odd little fireplace on a stretch of wall between 2 doors.
I think I can see why they're desperate...0 -

There's a lot of space for the sale price. All the rooms are a good size. Not sure what the area is like but it's a lot cheaper than 3 bed detached houses where we live.0 -

Yes, I've been looking at one where I used to live in Bath. It's essentially the same design of house, with a similar precipitous situation and a somewhat better extension, but smaller.
The price was £435k, and that was 2.5 years ago!0 -

I'm on the edge of London and this looks like one of those houses that makes all of us here green with envy. :cool:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
This house is stunning but entirely impractical:

If you could afford a house like this you might have a nice car and would want a proper garage to put it in.
Wouldn't like to have to clean behind that bath!
One of those radiators might be nice, but not in every room - couldn't hang curtains at some of the windows as they would be in the way.
Not sure about the black window frames.
Such a shame as it is otherwise be a lovely house and in a very desirable area too.0 -

I hate it, there's nothing I like about that house at all!0 -
How strange not to have a garage. The second reception room on the ground floor could easily have been space for a big garage.0

The garden is what I love about it...especially with 2 little lads. For such a large house, the kitchen is tiny and is attached, with no seperating wall, to the garage. There is a huge gap at the bottom of the garage door which says that things need to be immediately rectified unless you want a nice chilly draft blowing through.
The EA also told me that it needs a completly new boiler as it has an old "back boiler".
Lovely house with potential but needs work.0 -
