that can't be designed out of choice :eek:0 -
Would anyone have a ball park figure how much this would take to do up? (I realise its a bit of a How long is a piece of string question but just a kind of average guess.. 150-200k sound about right?

Yep...these things are quite fashionable at the moment. Though I think they are impractical too.
Re the designed for someone who "needs care" - errrr...nope.....that style of bath doesnt have one of those "door" type arrangements one can have in a bath and its on "legs" - so that wont be the reason.0 -

I reckon everything could be comfortably done for 80-100k. About 8k for the central heating, boiler and plumbing. Rewiring 5k including new bushed sockets/simmers/switchers. About 15k for a modern and stylish kitchen that size. 6k for bathroom. 8k for flooring and fitting all over. 5k for garden work. 10k to tidy up rooms and decorate.
For a really highy quality upgrade I'd say 80k. But you could potentially do it for 50-60k if you did lots and lots of homework.0 -

Well, that's far from the only option here.
As I see it - you've got a 3 double bedrooms (all very good size) house with space to do a major extension - an outbuilding that is (just) still standing that could possibly be another dwelling, and a footprint of a "larger building" that may give an in on planning for another (big) build. None of which would overcrowd the site.
For once the estate agents might not be over egging the pudding ...0 -

What colour would you call it? Terracotta?!
We had one like this in our first house, it was called "pumpkin".“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”
