Not to mention this place less than half a mile away. I take dangerous goods trains in and out of there. I can't find a decent pic, but it's a bit of an eyesore.

A shame?

There's no issue here.

As moneytooshort has patiently explained, regular car drivers may not be bothered by huge roads, so many regular water users probably won't be bothered much by the water tower either.
