It's not uncommon. They sell flaps with 'tunnels' to go in the wall, specifically for that purpose. I believe it can be easier and cheaper than putting it in a door if all your doors are double glazed, or if you don't have a door in the right place.
We have a large moggie and I doubt he would reach that cat flap ( or is it a vent). Or maybe it was for one of those prissy designer cats with long legs..............a lynx:rotfl:UpToMyNeckInIt wrote: »

I wonder if you can tell who lives there by their stripy tans from laying in the garden. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Look at it another way, the field behind that development has a nice access road and will probably be built on soon. Having a water tower in situ guarantees protection from overlooking, or knucklehead neighbours behind. As it's to the north, no interference with sunlight .
As for the pricing, it's £30k below what the owners paid as a new build in 2007 and you get a free conservatory too.
I still wouldn't consider it a good buy, but not because of the water tower.0 -
