""Miss Cook says the conditions in the tower block are an absolute state and says she has come across human excrement and drug users in the hallways and stairwells. ""
Nice.....
I wouldn't feel safe staying there as a hotel either, due to the structure of the building-although I'm sure that is fine, and because of the area.:j0 -
As soon as I saw the Bridge over Troubled Gravel, I knew we were in for a treat:

No comment really necessary, but those of a PC disposition, look away now.....0 -
bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms & last pic of very neat garage are pretty "normal" -whatever that means.
The rest of it is more headache material......again:j0 -

It's not A* material, I know, but the agent's idea of 'sympathetically modernised' and mine are certainly different. He's also 'forgotten' to mention that the garage is on the other side of the road.
Never mind, it's in a 'sort after' area, right beside the A484.0 -

Hmmm....am missing the PC point here?? But did ruefully note that the place is (mis)described as "modernised". Oh really....straight out of the 1980s basically and with oil-fired central heating. Cue a comment of "Of course it is dear (not!)".
Modernised in my book means there definitely aint no oil-fired anything/no patterned carpets/there is plain neutral d!cor (with feature walls if you absolutely must....) and yep...those huge huge bathroom tiles. Oh...and no "dinky bits" in the garden...
I have noticed a distinct tendency to regard houses as okay just because they haven't got coloured bathroom suites...and ignore all the old-fashioned stuff they still do have.0 -

What you are seeing is the well documented 'transitory surge'.
They are obviously experienced at this, hence the armchair in the bathroom sanctuary of repose.
What I do not understand is why that third rate example of peasant housing is worth £100,000 more than my space age 'property of the month' in Essex
Location. How's this for price then?

No comment really necessary,
Welsh moral principles at play?
- Twin beds rather than a double bed in the master bedroom?
- a garage (which is practically the size of the house itself) and space for a car for each bedroom ready for the getaway?
- what appears to be the entry point of a nuclear bunker in the garden (complete with food stock) in case it is too late to head for the hills?0 -
I've not noticed that before. There is a "travel time search" feature on Zoopla now (says its Beta). It duly comes up with properties within a specified "travel time" from a location (up to 1 hour).
EDIT: Yep...it works. Over 100 properties within a 15 minute walk from my last postcode.0
