Spotted those blinds in picture 6 and now feeling bit confused, as blinds like that are a bit of a tell-tale of an older person being the occupier and yet some of the stuff is more modern-style (eg tv and fire).
Can you guess that I hate those type of blinds and one of the first things I did was remove them from the house I just bought?:rotfl:
Think overall it probably is an older owner and therefore chances are there's a fair size amount of old-fashioned workmanship in that house needing updating.0 -

Most of the houses in our cul-de-sac have them and residents' ages range from 20s to 70s.
They give some privacy and can be opened/closed as needed.
Now, net curtains on the other hand - yuk!!!0 -

Plenty of scope for stamping your own personality on the property (as far as decor is concerned)
They've shut out the poor dog! (Photo 4)
There again, some folks are allergic to dogs, and Photo 4 could deter the very buyer they are seeking to attract....0 -

I'm not (that) old and have over the last year replaced all my down stairs curtains etc with vertical blinds.
They come in all sorts of colours and designs to fit with any decor and give a nice clean/sharp line to the windows.
The main reason, especially in the living room, was that in the evening the sun shines straight through the window and with this type of blind it is possible to angle the slats so you are not blinded, whilst still having them open enough to allow natural light into the room.0
