Alot of the bundles that are about charge the rrp for the game which is about £39.99. Alot of the games you can get cheaper so you do need to be aware of thisHi, Can i just ask that getting the console is good for 179.99, but if you want to play 2 or more players, dont you need to buy extra remotes and nunchucks? and the games can cost cost anything up to 40.00, so some of the bundles are good deals! I would also like to thank this forum as i managed to get a console last week, but then realised i needed to buy some of the extras, so has still worked out alot of money. I dont feel bad though, as it isnt very often the family has a treat ;-)0 -
If buying a bundle is the only way you can get one then you can sell the games you don't want on Ebay - games like Mario Galaxy sell really well almost RRP0

So guys, it appears no Wii's at JL or Amazon this weekend.
Do you think it's just because it IS the weekend or do you think my S-I-L has missed the boat?
Wish she had told me 3 days ago she wanted one.....

I bought a bundle, which had three games I didn't want, including Super Mario Galaxy. I put all three on ebay, Super Maio Galaxy did well and sold for £30, the others a little bit less sucuessful.
This resulted in my cost for the Wii been about £40 over rrp, so I agree with previous post about watching out re bundle prices.0 -
For anyone who lives in the Leigh (Lancashire) area, I was passing a shop called Deals 4 U yesterday (Butts Bridge) and they had a sign outside saying Nintendo Wii in stock.0

I think she has missed the boat from mainstream sellers. Even when they do appear, they are at obsure times and for very short time periods often minutes !! The demand is massive !!
Where is your sister located (roughly) ?0 -

Well, I have one available. I ordered 2 from Germany (the seller would only sell in multiples of 2), thus there is one left over. And I'm in Essex too.0 -

I actually started looking in September & it took me 3-4 weeks to bag one, then like you I had to start hunting for my sister.
What I can tell you is that weekends are 'dead' so don't worry. As you know JL won't ship more than 1..they do check, as I tried that. You could try opening a new account in your sisters name & getting her card details just in case.
I also bagged one from Amazon with one click..but foolishly tipped the rest of my basket into the order & the delivery changed to Jan 2008..even though the rest of the items were in stock & ready to be shipped???? I should have left it, but I cancelled that order.
I also noticed toysrus seemed to get stock weekly on Thursdays or Fridays, about 11am ish or 3pmish. I managed to bag hers from there, but they have now put their basic package price up..it was £199 when I got mine.
Boots occassionally have them at £179.99, but it's spasmodic so you may have to rely on the stock checkers for that one.
It may also be worth 'phoning Argos every morning as they have an occassional delivery.0 -
Just checked JL site and they now only have the £179 Wii for sale - no bundles.
Not looking good.
