  • STS this week. No real reason, can't see that I have eaten any more, but I suppose that as I am getting closer to target, weight loss is bound to slow. Not going to get down about, just gonna keep going!

I have to report a shocking 3.75 lb gain this week  the result of over indulgence at my daughters wedding on Saturday and scoffing too many left over cupcakes over the last few days.

Not going to feel too bad though as wedding was perfect and everyone had a great time.

Anyway, time to get back on track ... off to the pool to start the Channel challenge this morning. Think I also need to cut back drastically on the carbs as my cravings for all things sweet and stodgy have well and truly returned.

Fred I might have to add distance by treadmill as well as swimming as I am still having lots of trouble with my shoulder since my fall in the Summer. I am beginning to think a nerve might be trapped as when I move it in certain positions I get a terrible shooting sort of pain. Off to the doctors this afternoon to see what they think.

Good luck with the weight loss this week everyone.

    Jess

    Congratulations franby64 on the 1Km :-)
I swim on a friday (lunch time as pool is quiet) and find counting up to 20 and then back down again helps for some reason. Keep at the swimming as it is low impact and wont hurt you joint the same way other exercise can. Also one thing I find difficult to figure out is that if you do a swim or a run fast or slow you end up with the same calories burnt. I know energy=massxdistance but surely the time makes a difference to you metabolism?

    All the best, kind regards

Glad to report a -4lb, I think this is mainly water retention as it's my first week, so from now on I will be happy with 1lb a week (but I'm still really chuffed :D ).

I have an interview for a job at half 12 and the nerves are starting to kick in, I hope I dont stutter my way through it.

Off for a run to try and came myself down.

Well done to all the loosers this week.

Lost 1lb today since I last weighed in (last Tue I think) - now 13st 7lb. I'm not sure whether to take 13/8 or 13/7 as my Oct 5lb challenge start weight. Quite pleased anyway as I've only been properly serious for 4 days.

Walked to town and back to get weighed so that's another 2km covered.

Good luck cazmcf with the interview (about now!).

    Hey Everyone,

Hope everything went Ok today Caz, and congrats on the loss! :T

Jess - Glad the wedding went well. :) Shame about the gain, but I doubt it will stay - it's probably just water weight/bloating/whatever, so you'll probably have a good loss next week! :T

Well it's a 2lb gain for me this week! I've not been great this week, but not too bad either, so don't think it's completely deserved. I did eat out twice yesterday though :o.
I am quite fed up today, as if I carry on at this rate, I'll be back to my start weight by Xmas... ready to do it all over again next year, lol. I am actually looking forward to New Year, as I know that I'll be really motivated again. Can't seem to find the motivation at the moment, I'll have a good few meals, but will then mess it all up with silly snacks like choc or crisps!

I went to Sainsbury's today after my disappointing weigh in and have bought lots of lovely healthy things, lots of meat, veg and salad - so I have no excuses!!! I've also run out of choc (:(/:)), been craving it all day, but I won't give in and buy any!!!

I'll be back later to give an exercise update... I WILL GET ON THAT BIKE!!!! :D
