Look on the bright side jess & lolly that hopefully it is temporary.
Im like that more often than not.
You are right Beanie, I should count my blessings. Thankfully it is beginning to feel better and managed to go for a swim today.
Enjoyed the swim but I must must remember NEVER to go swimming on a Sat morning again - it was madness.0 -
Thanks everyone!
Its a first for me being SOTW. I'm not going to get used to it though, finding it tough this week. Get weighed on Monday again (dreading it).
You beat me to it by a lb! lol well done! dw i think everyone has their slips, this wekk i havent done that great, but looking forward to next week.
Just to record -1lb loss For me this week, just got back from the boots weigh in, there always seems to be somebody waiting or at the machine and it's always people that are well thin  anyhow, my weight is now on the stone mark, so i'm excited to see if i can get it below that dreaded stone mark that i will be glad to be under! i have not been well this week, so no exercise done, plus i had a binge and a few treats this week, even though i have watched my food intake.
Here's to a great week ahead.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

2.5 mile walk done yesterday, another to do shortly today, and 30 mins swim, so hopefully some weight will start moving!
Has anyone else experienced this when starting exercise?5lb monthly challenge 0/120 -

I stayed on the protein-only for 2 days, but I think others, who had more to lose, have been on it for up to 7 days. Then, alternate veg-with-protein and protein-only. No fruit and no bread in that second phase. Bread and fruit starts to be reintroduced in the 3rd, consolidation, phase. I'm in the 3rd phase now and I'm still losing weight, down to 66.1 kg today, that's 10 stone 5 3/4 pounds, BMI 31.
All I can say is, it has worked for me, although a lot more slowly than Dr Dukan predicted. I can't do a lot of the exercise that he talks about - he's very insistent on walking, everyone should walk for at least 20 minutes every day of their lives.
Anyway I've started reading it and I wondered whether you are just following the book or are getting the online support offered on the Dukan website?
PS if you don't want to post on the thread then you could pm me instead if you don't mind telling me?You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:

Now I will not accept losses posted as a result of changing the method of weigh-ins
A work colleague is starting the Dukan diet tomorrow - she wants a fast start to her weight loss and was a bit shocked when I knew a bit about it.
Given that her idea of a diet has previously been a sausage & bacon roll in the morning, a salad for lunch, biscuits & a chocolate bar in the afternoon and goodness knows what when she gets home I'll not be holding my breath. She was sent the diet on 3 sheets of A4 paper so I'm guessing it's a limited version of sorts. Will let you know how she gets on.0 -
Whew what a week! Thanks for the cake Lolly - it wasn't entirely out of place! Budapest is beautiful - we walked and walked until our feet nearly fell off, however I'm sure all the good work was undone by the Hungarian cuisine - I've seen plenty of pork scratchings before but GOOSE scratchings, anyone?!If it doesn't move, eBay it until it does

Hey Everyone,
Well my foot is slowly improving, still not 100% though. Managed another 133 flights - really far behind now, not sure if I'll be able to catch up.
Just booked a holiday to Disneyland!!! :j Going mid March, hoping to lose a stone by then... also hoping that don't put too much weight on while I'm there! Holidays were my downfall last year. We've got two full days in the Disney parks - we usually set off for breakfast around 7am, then will be on our feet until 9-10pm, so that should help counteract the meals out everyday. We're then spending a bit of time in Paris - may struggle to avoid temptation there
.
I've got something to look forward to and aim for now so hoping that it will spur me on to get back into exercise. Not done anything for a week now, my foot still hurts a lot but I need to push through the pain, lol.0 -
