Did my exercise DVD yesterday and I'm going to call it 1km as there's quite a lot of running on the spot involved along with squats and stomach exercises.

Cabby - Personally I would call it 1km an hour if you danced non-stop!

I don't believe for one minute I can actually jog 6.5km in one go ... I wonder how wii jogging km actually translates to real km :D

    Hey all

FS 2 runs to add, one for Saturday out doors in freezing wind and one indoors whilst watching Sky News. totals: 2.5 miles and 4.5 km.

Interesting thing happened on the way to the gym tonight. When I got to the sports center where the gym is the car parks was rammed, stacked on top of each other so once I parked in the field and went in I was curious who was so popular, it turned out that the "psychic" Sally Morgan was doing a show in the main auditorium. Anyway paid for the Gym, checked that I was not going to leave at the same time as the crowd and headed for the gym.

The gym is at the back of the sports center behind where the stage doors would be when the main hall is used as a stage, when I walked back there I find a bearded guy lurking in a black suit wearing a head set, he looks over, I walk down the corridor behind where he is standing and go to the gym foyer, he then follows and disappears into one of the changing rooms.

He had not said anything during the few seconds I was in earshot but it reminded me of this:

    psychic-sally-morgan-hears-voices

Whatever though as it hasn't shaken my belief in psychics since I never had any, bunch of frauds.

My fave is "Someone here has lost someone."
(well, duh! It's a psychic show)

    "There name begins with J"
    (Hmm, common first name maybe)

    "John?"
(Swing and a miss for the rookie)

"No, James" *looks about for a reaction*
    ( ..... )

I've turned into a bit of a lurker lately too!

I'm not doing too well on the weight loss front so feel a bit of a fraud posting on here :o I've been really ill over the weekend (not been right for over 3 weeks now!) and have allowed myself to eat carp as, 'I'm too poorly to cook anything'. Which is kind of true, although I still could have made better food choices.

I'm drugged up to the eyeballs at the moment :rotfl: on both 'Max Strength' capsules, and Lemsip type things - and I still feel awful :( but I've managed to get out today to do a bit of food shopping so hopefully I'm on the mend.

I've also decided to have a diet rethink. I'm going to try and forget low carb for the moment and concentrate on sorting out my immune system and getting as much fruit and veg as I can, plus drinking more water and sleeping more.
I figure my blood sugars are pretty good, and both low cal and low carb diets work for me, so it doesn't matter how much fruit I eat, as long as the rest of my diet is healthy too. I'll also be a lot more useful with a healthy immune system - I'm sick of feeling poorly and run down and I don't have the energy to move, let alone exercise at the mo, so anything's got to be an improvement!

BB - I'm interested in trying green smoothies, but I'm not sure where to start. I'm thinking spinach and apples would be nice (DS2 used to eat it blended and it is delicious!), but I can't think what else I could put in with it. What kind of veg do you use?

    Soup.

Me and OH have just whipped up 7L of chicken and veg soup (pretty much Scotch broth but no barley). We're freezing it and taking a portion each to work evey day for the next 3 weeks.

It's low cal, low carb, high in veg and very MSE :money:

Okay, I like to add a crusty roll - but that's optional ;)

(And everyone knows that chicken soup is the cure for any illness)

ETA: I managed to convince OH tonight to go in on a chicken breat marinated in Rosemary and garlic and butternut squash mash. Very good for you and equally delicious. I think he was surprised that my trying to lose weight might actually taste good for him too lol
