My daughter turned 21 recently - her favourite gifts were:

    1) A romantic 3 days in Rome with her boyfriend
    2) A silver Tiffany's neclace - heart saying 'Return to Tiffany's'

She loved them both so much.

What about paying for a photo session for her? I would say go to Venture, but they are veeeerrrrryyyyyy expensive - but with a bit of research you will be able to find companies that do similar for much less money.

Jewellery definitely wouldn't get my vote - are you sure that you can be absolutely certain of her taste in jewellery? I only know one person who consistently buys me jewellery that I would wear, and that's my boss - my other half wouldn't have the first idea. The other alternative would be to buy her vouchers for jewellery - let her pick what she wants herself.

What about a digital camera? £150 should buy you a reasonably good one - and then she can be in control of making her own memories.

I had flying lesson in a small plane bought for me for my 21st, it was about £60
I might not have anything to keep (like jewellery) but I have the certificate and loads of pictures and the memories and I loved it, it was a real experience.

As rchddap1 says, ask at your local airport or flight school.
When life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt ;)
  • Hi there - I bought my daughter personalized number plates for her car - as it is something she can keep as long as she wants and can go from car to car she loved them - abit dear but you're only 21 once

Hello - it was my daughter's 21st yesterday and as she plans to do some travelling later in the year we bought her some really nice luggage (amongst other things)
  • Where abouts do u live?

Best Pressie i got on a budget was.....

    A trip to London...

Cheap train at the moment see travel board.
also u would need a railcard i think about £4.95 per day

Overnight at IBIS Docklands £26 for room (book using late deal rates section)

Deluxe Makeover at Burlingtons (5* London Salon) £45 for women £30 for men i think??
Book through https://www.londontown.com (she would get a lovely photo of the two of you together and be pampered for the day)

Go see the Lion King (£25 - £45 depending on seats)

    Dinner £30

Spend a day looking at the sights if you want and then back home.

Thats approx £200 but could be cheaper if you were careful with the cash!

I would have a look around some Jewellery shops for a nice locket. Make sure it is a good quality silver of gold one(depending on her taste) and get it engraved with her initals or DOB or somthing like that.

    what about a spa break?
Depends what she's like and what she is into but most women like being pampered, right?

or if she is an animal lover why not sponsor one in her name- whatever her fave animal is, you can sponsor them for about £100 i think?
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

How about a trip on the Orient Express - they do day trips with lunch or dinner from Leeds to london and other places - very glitzy and unusual - but not too long a trip.
