slightly above £85k - but in a place called lydbrook, in the forest of dean / wye valley - perfect for kayaking the river wye (and the famouse symonds yat rapids) and fabulous woodland for walking. Some very good pubs nearby too (jovial colliers, courtfield arms)

Clacton isn't bad and you can even get a direct train into London if you want. The town is a little chav-tastic but then every town in Essex is to some extent (and I say that living in Essex). The beach and pier are fun at Clacton. Walton, just up the coast, is a nicer place but it's smaller/quieter. Avoid Frinton if you don't want to live with old people.
Don't buy in Jaywick if you want your car to keep its wheels.0 -
