When we have sold our Spanish house we intend to buy a property in the UK.
We think we know where we are going to buy, but just as a matter of interest, what else can people come up with for £85k or less? There may be a property/area out there that we have never thought of!
Essentials: at least two bedrooms and if a flat must be ground floor.
Not a mobile home or chalet. No shared ownership. No retirement flats.
Anything else considered.
Thanks all!

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

This is what we are looking at (we have owned one of these flats before so know the area well, not far from where our existing house is where our son and his girlfriend live).

Hate the decor but that is easily remedied.
There are several bonuses to these flats. The communal areas are well kept and the ground floor flats all have a door or patio door out onto the garden. The service charges are reasonable and there is a garage to each flat.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

If you're not too fussy try Jaywick in Essex. Brick built detached bungalows available for well under £85K.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

As you might have guessed my my username, I'm a big Bristol fan. Lots of 2 bed ground floor flats in the surrounding area and in the outer edges of the city too.

I live 'up north' and there are plenty of 2 bedders around here for that price. If you fancy the sea there are quite a few flats in Southport for less than 90k like this one http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-19059825.html0
