OP look around different areas, you are entitled to a studio/1 bed flat in my borough.
My adult son moved into a large studio as it was cheaper for him under the current regulations even allowing for paying for bills.
Like you he has been back to studying but still looking.
If you've been unemployed for 3 months you can get a discount bus card, daily cap of £2 or 60 per journey. Takes ages to get around London by bus but needs must and all that.0
