I have turned the box off now although I can hear OH watching some Steve Coogan thing.
Trying to make sense of my finances and failing, I have absolutely zero motivation for anything lately. I blame work for sucking out my soul. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

I blame lack of work for sucking out my soul. Job search and applications to do today, dissertation planning tomorrow. Am successfully finding the bedroom floor so will continue on that for the rest of the week.
Going up to Edinburgh on Friday to work a cider bar for three days. Will be paying me and will have the evenings free (and is festival at mo) so quite looking forward to that.

Sorry B that was a bit insensitive of me:o
Good-Oh on the cider bar work, it would have been ideal for DS1 but I think the commute may be a little too far:cool: Don't forget to let me know when there are any local ones as OH is still interested in going (and DS would be willing to work too).
I am avoiding upstairs floordrobe, might just read instead. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Not at all. People are allowed to talk about their jobs even around me! Just tired of applying for one. I just want someone to sign me up!

Is there much out there in the area you want B?
I have an interview for my BA(Hons) year on Monday, feel a bit disenchanted with the whole working in education thing at the moment. More for less is being drummed into our heads every bloody day.
Really considering sticking it for another 2 years then dropping down to a 0.5 contract and studying for somethine else entirely.
Not a bloody clue what though:rotfl:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

I think it's more for less everywhere Lou. They've given me the signing on booklet and guidance and it used to come together in a plastic wallet, but guess what, money saving means no plastic wallet which probably means loads more people losing the paperwork!!!
I would have a good think about what you want to do before you jump, maybe go and get some careers advice.
Work's very limited for me here. I've got to do the next stage of my Australian visa and see what I can pick up for the moment of anything here - it's pretty rubbish.

Finances are easy. "Not enough money. Need more money." Mystery solved. Fancy you accountancy type people not knowing that...I blame work for sucking out my soul.
That's what it is there for.Am successfully finding the bedroom floor

Or even beer jobs...

If you have someone annoying who does that, then just say to them: "And what's your value-add then?"
Fortunately, we don't get that. We know we have to save money, but don't get the nagging. Mainly because we've already shot at quite a few sacred cows in our time...Really considering sticking it for another 2 years then dropping down to a 0.5 contract and studying for somethine else entirely.

I will definitely think long and hard before getting out:)
When I am at work I enjoy it, its the thought of what lies ahead that I am concerned about.:o No point worrying about it though eh? Tough times ahead for all of us I reckon.

Good. It's not the best of times to be the newby...When I am at work I enjoy it, its the thought of what lies ahead that I am concerned about.:o No point worrying about it though eh?
Stop worrying. It does no good. If you want to prepare, then prepare - but fruitless worrying is not preparing.Tough times ahead for all of us I reckon.
It is not even the end of the beginning...Australia sounds exciting:T
