If you have someone annoying who does that, then just say to them: "And what's your value-add then?"
I like this Lou. As you are doing something that is bringing money into the 'business'. You could also refer to anyone whose job it is to reinforce the cost message as 'an overhead'. It should really irritate them!

Well I would say there is such a thing as productive worrying. Testing your smoke detectors is productive worrying. Buying a torch in case the lights go out is productive. Sitting down and fretting about the sky falling in is unproductive.
