If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

The boys are gutted, they got really upset, sad thing is we never got to say goodbye, DH is really mad with work ythat they made him work today otherwise we would have travelled up last night.

Dh phoned the hotel explained the situation and they refunded us in full, just need to wait now for funeral arrangements to come through.

Coming out of lurkdom to say about the broken off inside the laptop charger - something similar happened to mine (small boy rather than cat) and it had actually snapped something inside. The lovely techies at DHs work managed to hard wire it for me and it survived another 18 months or so.

MG -I was also chuffed to find a 1lb loaf tin today, in the boxes of junk I put away when we knocked the pantry wall down a few years ago.

Claire - thinking of you and yours

Hi hex... Fancy coming over to the other side? I think you (and possibly your OH in his new circumstances if he's brave enough to join MrFW in our female dominated community) could contribute a lot and benefit too :)

Ironing and cleaning outsourced today ... Log delivery booked for tomorrow... Keeping forgetting to text re. Massage so will do that now.

House is slowly getting back to normal at last!

Sorry to hear your news Claire.

Missing neighbour re. wall has been located - well the agents letting his house have been, although no-one has been in the house for over 6 months so they aren't exactly doing a very good job?! They've let a number so will be speaking to them tomorrow and can then get on with rebuild.

Have just got back from pizza hut and cinema and dd loved it - ds is shattered and needs to be back in school routines again and is now giving dh the runaround instead if going to bed:o

  • Claire, so sorry to hear your sad news. Hugs to you all.

Well ds located safe and well - will investigate those phone options, thanks Greenbee. The supposed deal is that if he gets lost he asks someone for directions but that's still a big ask for him. When he was in school, he and another lad who also had Aspergers decided to walk to the next village seven miles away. That gave the teachers a few grey hairs that day - oops.
