Thrifty,
I hope it doesn't take DH too long to find DS.
((hugs))

Thrifty - do you know that you can get phones tracked for their location? We tested it at work once... And their are mobile apps where you can switch on GPS and it will find where you are. I use mine lots when I'm travelling for work. I think they might be worth looking into... In the meantime maybe the two of you could go for some nice walks with DS to the places he wants to explore!
5 single portion and one 2 portion chocolate and peach (decided to use what I had, not buy more) tiramisu made. I still have loads of cake though. Maybe I'll freeze it and make cake pops sometime when I'm really, really bored...
I've also got to start baking for a couple of cake sales in September at some point. Good thing I have plenty of freezer space!0 -
AAAAArrrggghhhhh!!! 3 texts during dinner offering me loans at no doubt ridiculous APR's - do they not know what our next challenge is :rotfl:
I am definitely on a suckers list somewhere - well this sucker is not playing.
MGFINALLY AND OFFICIALLY DEBT FREESmall Emergency Fund £500 / £500

MG - your provider will probably have a number for reporting spam. I send all unwanted texts there, as replying STOP or 'who are you' just confirms your existence!0

We are staying in gloucester, as Dh want to be near his sister, I will be logging off in a minute, and most prob be back on till Sunday now.
Thanks for the voucher code though I don't think dh used it
Glad that you got sorted Claire. Will be thinking about you. Hope that you make it.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
So sorry Claire.0

I'm so sorry, Claire. Don't beat yourself up because you didn't get there in time. Moving a family like that is not easy.
MG Thanks for the weights. I did wonder if you were using US cups or just your own cups. I'll investigate spelt flour as an option but I think the main problem is the extra gluten added to flour to cope with the Chorleywood process.
I've started freezing half loaves now as DH is still eating bread and I'm not. I think I might be facing divorce if I stopped baking my own. :cool:Since he is a keeper, I'd rather avoid that.:)But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
I have now outsourced both ironing and cleaning. The ironing service can be used as needed. The cleaning is supposed to be a one-off but I think there is a small chance that if we get on she might find a regular slot for me. Even once a month would make a difference! And she's been recommended by a friend, who trusts her with her children.
Log delivery booked for tomorrow morning. Must remember to get cash first thing. Why won't people accept online payment... It makes life so much more complicated!0 -
So sorry Claire. you tried your best and that is enough.
May his spirit soar. XSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
