:hello:Waves hello to saving for a rainy day
Don't worry about blabbing away - I do it all the time and then some
The inspiration on here is great isn't it :T0 -
Flippin grrr today at dh - can I put him on ebay? Has still got dodgy arm so didn't come to friends kids birthday party today. Have just got home to find him out with mates till 'later on' no idea when that is but obviously the arm is feeling much better. Dd is now spitting feathers as she has pointed out he worked all yesterday so we have barely seen him and he was rough Friday so barely surfaced to see kids then either. Have written a long text telling him as much but not sure whether he needs to be sent it or notMortgage £128,626 going down slowly0

Would suggest not hon - Revenge being a dish best served cold.
So what are you planning for him and the kids to do next weekend so that you can get some "Me" time??And he can get some kiddie time??
Driven the parentals home - wombled some patress boxes, double sockets, cable, bayonet fittings and a single spotlight from Dads garage into the boot of my car. Mum is on board that if he won't help me do the work on DS2's room, then I get first dibs on the random "leftovers" in the "garage of doom"
So I think I have everything I need to rewire that part of the house (but before anyone starts to panic about me taking this "Make do and Mend" to extremes mucking about with electrics, I was a qualified theatre electrician so I'm A OK to do this in my own home).
A bit tired mow I must confess - maybe time to cuddle on the sofa before more building work in the morning.
BTW - welcome to all lurkers, please just jump in and chat along - I think you can see that we are not a very "cliquey" thread at all.

Do you ever get the feeling if someone needed a heart transplant but couldn't find a surgeon MG would pop up with 'well, I might be a bit rusty but I used to......' :rotfl:.
:TWell done you :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

MG
Am already booked to go to Harrogate for stitching and knitting show next weekend - my only 'free' weekend in the year. He has already rung to say he will be home in half an hour - obviously the stern disapproving teacher voice was enough:p Didn't send the text btw - but felt a lot better for writing it!Mortgage £128,626 going down slowly0 -

Besides electrics is really just three colours .............. innit???

Great recipe Hex, I'll try it subbing with what I have in, which is butternut squash, smoked paprika, and kabanos sausage - I have everything else. Good winter grub, will lob it in the SC and should last a few days.
After listing a table lamp and a bedside lamp on Freegle, they have gone to live with a lovely young man who didn't have transport, so I dropped them off to him this afternooon en route to Aldi's in the local big city.
I've mislaid my torch, so it's a real lucky dip retrieving stuff from the eaves by feel. There is a light but the plug's broken - and unlike MG I'm a bit allergic to electricals! MG I bow down in homage. How about the next thread title - The Matrix - re-wired by MG?!
Some golden oldies have appeared and a trip to the CS, auction house (intake day is a Monday) and the dump are on the cards for tomorrow. Can't think of a suitable carrot, given it is a day's annual leave, but getting the eaves more clear will be the reward I think. This de-cluttering lark is quite a task!If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Well - yes - ish. Old 3 colours or new ones???
You aren't colour-blind are you?
Me & Tora have just finished watching "My Dog Skip". Told DH I didn't want to watch it as I would blubb. But I did. And I did......
I'm a wuss - but keep panicking over losing Clootie. No reason but just had too much death recently.
Off to watch a happy film now......Debts 07/12/2021
