Greenbee - huge hugs for you, only just read this, and as you know I am hugely sympathetic on this. I can only say I hope you get the outcome you want. My situation was similarly complicated and we both agree that sometimes it would (on paper) have been far simpler to walk away but our boys are the glue that held us together when external factors put stupid pressure on us.
Your comment re wine reminded me - the silly baby classes I got forced to go to asked us what we were most looking forward to when the baby came - red wine, and stilton says I (who went first), first smile, etc said everyone after me
8yo DS1 is currently building model nuclear reactors out of lego. I am not sure if this is good or bad?
Dinner tonight is lentil dhal for me and DS1 (his fave dinner), DS2 is having rice and ham, SS2 and DH are having pumpkin, lentil and sausage (rtc 57p/12) stew. I feel all virtous and moneysaving'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Thanks sunflower and hex... And hex, does that pumpkin, lentil and sausage stew have a recipe, or is that it?
I really must make more of an effort to eat the stuff in the freezer... Today I have had pepper omelette, crumpets and two lots of my vile shake... (I think I get to cut down to one a day next month.
Today everything tastes of eyedrops.
One lot of laundry has been put away, another is drying, and there isn't enough of anything in the laundry bin to make a full load that goes together. Log baskets replenished, logs moved from front log pile to store at back, and fire lit. OH's christmas present ordered... I suppose I should do the rest now...0 -
Greenbee, I am with MG on this one - it is on the way. May be a very smart little soul who is waiting for your treatment to end? Thinking of you anyway.

Am trying hard to be virtuous but all the food we bought yesterday is calling to me and wanting to be eaten - must resist and eat healthy stuff as my body definitely responds better when it is being fed lots of fruit and veg.
House tidying hasn't really gone that well since we've been out and about most of the day so got to get on with stuff tonight so taping everything I won't have time to watch - am looking forward to going to sleep in a blissfully clean and tidy bedroom and getting up tomorrow to a shiny house.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

My Mum now has a new kitchen ceiling - 20 square metres of absolute agony. Nothing burns like working above head height for a whole day.
The coombes and eaves of DS2's bedrom will be a doddle after today.
Back from parentals having rummaged through the garage and liberated lots of useful pieces of wood- including some hardwood to make DS2's easel - Freebie Christmas, fabby!!!
Off to drown my aching shoulders in a hot shower.

Morning peeps - don't know if I will be building today as I am feeling a bit stiff n sore. Will see when I loosen off again.
If not it could be a day of knitting and sewing instead.
In the meantime Dad is not sober enough to risk driving s will drop him at golf before making a decision.

DH and Ds2 are on the xbox and ds1 is still in bed, once he gets up it will be operation bedroom. His new wardrobe 3 draw chest and bedside cabinet are here, his bed and materess will be here on the 24th, so we need to empty his room and get it painted ready to beable to build the new furniture.

Greenbee - it was on the Sainsbury calender. Not a fan of sloppy sausage casserole so thought this was worth a try as the lentils absorb most of the liquid. I added some red lentils as well to help with this.
sausages, garlic, onion, 700g chopped pumpkin, bay leaf, thyme, 2 tbs harissa paste (used less and added hot chilli sauce as well - might try chilli sauce and five spice next time), 500ml stock, 250g green lentils, 200ml water, tin of chopped toms
Pre-cook your sausages and chop into bits. Sweat the onions for 10, then add garlic for a minute. Add everything except the sausages and simmer with lid on for 30 mins. Add sausages and cook for 5 more minutes.
DH and SS2 had seconds, and I froze the rest for lunches for DH.

Morning everyone.
Firstly I think I need to apologys. I thought I had introduced myself to this thread after I had been following a while and posted etc, but I think I may have got confused and not introduced myself here at all:o
So if I am allowed may I post on your thread? I work at home as a book-keeper, and I am researching for a lottery bid for a project I am involved with. I get great inspiration and a good shove in the right direction when I read the posts on here.
(Didn't want to just take things for granted and carry on blabbing away)My finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0 -

great recipe Hex, am going to copy that for next time I need to make something with sausages, probably later this week. Tried the hairy biker's sausage and bean casserole yesterday, with rice, DH ate the lot and had seconds today. Considering he is not a big rice fan, he seems to be managing pretty well lately.:cool:0
