I have just spent most of the afternoon catching up with my OU work. I am not impressed with the maths part so far, my poor brain was creaking earlier trying to remember how to work out fractions and percentages. I am now working on my carbon footprint and I was shocked to find my annual car mileage is double what I initially thought. I only pootle about between a few local towns for shopping and visiting people, and try to combine several things into one trip!
I still have another 28 pages of scary looking graphs and tables to get through before I am up to date. I will do another 30 minutes now aided by a huge mug of coffee and then I am finished for the evening! Tomorrow will be more study, Ebay listings, and a countryside walk.
I thought the interview went quite well earlier in the week, although it was more of a chat than a formal interview. The interviewer said he would let me know the outcome by yesterday, but hasn't. I am assuming I haven't got it. Never mind, I'm sure there is something better out there waiting for me!0 -
Work rate severely disrupted by trying to work out how there is no money left in our account today (pay day on 22nd) and how we can stretch fridge and freezer contents to last as long as possible. Dh has confessed to snacks, frittering and ebay rubbish, and treats for kids who don't really need them. Am at a loss as to how to get through to him about money at the moment and painfully aware that his dad managed to run up 40k of debts without his mum knowing so don't want to push him to spend secretly to that extent. We have more than enough money coming in for everything we need for our budget as long as idiot bloke doesn't shoot us in the foot iyswim. Any wise ideas of how to tackle a numpty husband please tell me.:(Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000
