Feeling very sad today - I always am on 11 November. I remember relatives who died in the war and friends who have since died who were in WW2, WW1 and more recent wars.

I always remember everyone who has participated in some format in the wars, I'm not from this country, but for everyone who took part, has allowed me to live here and to give me the rights I have today, so for that I am thankful.

I cried today, but then I well up every year. It is just such a shame that we have wars.

Very poignant what you wrote Horace. xx
  • I know this sounds ridiculous but I never knew knitting could look so exciting. There are so many possibilities. Maybe I could learn too...

I had a very MSE day today, friend said she would come round with her two boys. So I offered to cook lunch, but it was very late 3pm.

Made homemade pizza, pasta (tesco huge value bag), sauce with basil, I love basil!, Asda value pesto, a condensed tin of soup (chicken), mixed with milk and the pesto, yummy for us mummies. Boys had hot dogs in theirs. Her youngest wolved his plate down, and had seconds of pasta. Everyone at the homemade pizza and said how delicious it was. I was going to make cake for dessert when I remembered we still had DS' birthday cake.

I was very proud of our lovely MSE lunch. Now to shop to refill my store cupboard!
  • Sorry - had a few days to catch up on.
Helen, what fantastic news. It's so easy to think you need loads of money to achieve your dreams but £3k for untouched piece of land to unfold and blossom with your ideas and inspiration seems a bargain. Congratulations on being 'Landed'.
