  • I have been offered a part-time unpermanent position in my Super Secret Squirrel Position. I have, naturally, said yes. :D

I also have the chance to tutor someone (maybe).

Things are looking up (for the minute). :) Could this be the start of good things?!

Congrats Sunflower - when the tide turns in your favour it is much easier to keep the good times rolling.

It is Friday - how did that happen?? We seem to have rattled through this week! Today I am making door sets (so keep your fingers crossed that I can build them square)

    Coffee time

OOOOOO remember the script I wrote this summer - wellthe first part anyways?

Just had a call from LA - a script editor has got back to the guy who requested it and they are alking about optionning the story.

I think that means they will give me some money for the rights to the story for a period of time without the obligation to do anything with it. After the time period it would revert to me. At least that's how stock optionning works.

No idea of money yet - if any - but just to keep you guys in the loop

  • Great news MG.

Well spent yesterday evening being passed from one NHS place to another, dh had stomach pains, which is apparently a strain, very painful but not much can be done, however they were more interested in how high is blood pressure is, never been a problem, now on medication with instructions to see his GP this morning.

Would have no clue at all if he hadn't got the strain - funny how these things work.

Good news from MG and Sunflower - hope it all works out. I am here, just building!

  • Thanks, MG and Firewalker! :)

As for the script news, MG, that's very, very interesting. Your mortgage could potentially be paid off MUCH sooner that projected. ;)

Gotta go. Guess who goes to MediaCity today for a meeja presentation? :D

  • What do I love about here?

Supportive women, helping others find and achieve their dreams, a belief that everyone is capable and that abundance is the way.

What did I find in RL today?

A lady who wanted to make her problem my problem - and to achieve that she wanted to shout off in front of all and sundry.

Is her problem my problem - nope!!! Because I popped on my imaginary tiara of power and my twinkly shoes of truth and sailed out of the situation like Eva Peron in her heyday.

Which has probably cheesed her off no end:o

I share very little of her values - not that she is wrong in what he believes, she is just not "of my tribe" - so refuse to play the "little town game"

I don't want to be part of the "We are entitled to talk about you, judge you and tell you what to do. Gossip is our right and if you are not part of our clique we can do what we want"

On you go love, no skin off mine. My boys are happy, kind, safe and not deprived in any way - you are not part of my life and I don't want to be part of your clique.

If I want a conversation about "who is seeing who and why" I will hang out with some local teenagers:rotfl::rotfl: or take my pick of any of the soaps.

Life is far too short for me to be worrying about what you think of me.

    "Frankly my Dear - I don't give a damn"

OK its safe to read again:D, rant over and done with - cup of coffee will put me right.
