Good Morning.
Never got my bedroom finished yesterday, so that's my goal today, I have been a busy bee today, DW empties re loaded and back on, WM un loaded clothes on rads and another load put on, TD emptied (DS2's bedsheets from yesterday) towels put in TD.
Waiting for friend to come down with black bags so I can sort the rubbish, (seem to have lost mine, had a brand new roll) Have tidied the throws and cushions, cleared the table of xbox stuff, plates and glasses. Now I am going to have a well earned coffee.
Looking after mates little boy till her MIL picks him up, (about an hour) luckily he is at the stage where he sits and plays so no having to pick him up etc. (cause my back is in half now lol)
DS1 is still in bed, Ds2 is in school, so a quiet morning here.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Wooohooo!!! Wombled two more bin bags full of sheet insulation and the best part of a roll of rock-wool from next door. There is also a pile of "decent" wood being stashed out the back for me to get later.
So a quick cuppa - on with the rubber gloves and lets see if I can get the roof insulated before picking DS2 up from Paygroup.
Slowly , slowly I am getting there. Need Mikes Mob to send me "finishing" vibes I think so that I can keep going.

We decide at some point we don't want to be one of the wee kinds playing in the park(in debt) -we want to be one of the big kids brave enough to go on the big kids slide.( and be DF)
We gather stand at the bottom of the steps gathering our straggling shreds of bravery until we have a LBM and slowly start inching our way up the ladder - the first step being ever so hard, then before we know it we are standing at the top of the slide and can look around. We have come so far but are not quite there yet.
High up there we can begin to see a compelling future - a DF future, but it involves a change of mindset (JUst like to flash of inspiration that Clootie had) before we are ready to be brave enough to sit down and push off into our future.
The journey down the slide becomes faster and faster as we are now motivated and focussed to snowball our debts and we come shooting off the end of the slide squealing with delight.
So who is with me - who wants to go slide down a slide today LOL
 Me, Me! Good analogy, MG.
I've never done things the easy way though. I used to climb up the slide, not the steps - that would have been wussy. Or climb up the supporting structure (still have a wee scar on my head ).
H'mm. Haven't done that for years.
Don't anyone dare tell me to act my age! Growing old is compulsory, growing up is not. :rotfl:But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

Missing in action - sorry, I have been missing in action, did not switch computer on at all over the last two days:D
I have now sorted my towels and put them into the airing cupboard. When I was going out with twerp I made him put up some bits of wood for me and using old bed slats (it is amazing what I used to find by the bins) I have some airing shelves for towels. I stopped using this space when skanky druggie was downstairs but she has since been evicted:j
Yesterday was petrol, bank and supermarket day. I had to get petrol so spent £48.10 and filled the tank. I then went to the bank and paid in my HB cheque, popped into charity shop to drop off small rucksack and two cloth bags because they are always desperate for shopping bags. I then spent £9.35 in the butcher - apparently he is now struggling because Morrisons and Tesco sell meat and they are closeby - he managed when there was just the Co-op and the pretend butcher over the road. (Pretend butcher sells packaged and frozen meat and doesnt do any butchering). I picked up a large pack of stewing steak for £2.99 and two pieces of brisket. He sells his own packs of meat, I did forget to get a bag of bacon bits which he sells for £1.50:( I used half the stewing steak in a stew and the rest I froze, I asked for a large piece of brisket (worth £13.95) to be cut in half and then that half halved again so that I can fit them into the slow cooker. My butcher sells real meat and could probably tell you the name of the cow if you asked. His wife makes all the pies and pasties, and she spit roasts chickens which are sold either as whole chickens or they are sold as pieces eg. wings, legs.
Nipped into the greengrocers for carrots and large spuds for jackets (I could either buy a pack of 4 for £1.50 or buy them singly for 19p each - I only got 2) - didnt like the look of their onions so went into the co-op and got a bag of onions for £1, I picked up 2 bags of jammy donuts from their whoopsie shelf reduced to 55p, I replenished the store cupboard with a tin of Eazy Onions. Then it was off to Tesco to visit their whoopsie shelf - found a pack of egg custards reduced and a pack of chocolate eclairs. Picked up tomato sauce and HP sauce whilst I was there plus a tub of Ovaltine, muffins and vine tomatoes (I plan to make mini pizza type snacks with cheese & slices of tomato). Donuts are in the freezer, egg custards eaten and chocolate eclairs again in the freezer.
I have a good stew on the go again, I am recooking the one I made yesterday and I might just make some dumplings to go on the top (or not).
Oh and I am number 3,118,905,194th person on the planet.0 -
3,119,379,352nd person alive on the planet. Oh my goodness:)
And congratulations on birth of grand daughter Grandma Tricia
Its a funny thing about the logging in/not logging in thing. If you don't log in you loads and loads done, on the flip side you then spend hours and hours catching up and nothing gets done:o
The car boot at the weekend gave us a good return, and I was really pleased to get rid of it all. I did buy some steak and bacon chops from the profits, which have gone into the freezer.
I have at least worked out what the Rainbows are doing this evening. I am going to make some salt dough and we shall make decorations. I love salt dough
Week is a bit up in the air as friend is still in hospital while they are happy everything is stable, whilst it makes it difficult to plan things I would rather she stays there until the doctors are happy to send her home.My finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0
