He is actually much calmer today - his class teacher has had a quiet word and explained that from here on in its all about helping him find strategies that work - so fingers crossed. There is one lad in particular who is giving him grief - and two of the other lads had words with him at playground today about playing fair (all off their own backs).
Lets see how Monday goes

Thats really good - his class teacher sounds 'switched on' DS1 will certainly need a battery of strategies and the confidence to say what works for him - it often comes from the individual. If the teacher is worth his/her salt and the 2 empathetic kids keep it up your DS1 should progress nicelyBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

OMG, we had a teacher called pluke too!! Knowing where abouts you live (more or less, not a stalker, honest) I wonder if we went to the same school? Town beginning with I and ending with G perhaps? Or maybe most Fife schools had acne ridden English teachers in the 80s.
Sorry to hear about your ex SIL too.
It's only a game

We new a bit north of you - in the New Town - but yes there were a few dodgy faced teachers. Maybe we eat better now - or acne treatment is better because you don't often see scarring like that nowadays thankfully.
Taking Mum to local Trade Counter to look at a kitchen today (why do women shy away from places like this?) then the is are going for a sleepover ........................ so today will be a day of lists LOL.

Good morning from a deeply damp Nottinghamshire this morning. Geez... it is teeming down this morning. The rain hammering on the bedroom window woke me up this morning - only 10 minutes before the alarm though so I had sometime to snuggle with the two kittens who were sleeping on the bed with us last night! Nothing better than early morning purrs!!
Thank goodness it is Friday! I have lots of stuff to do this weekend, but I am going to try and make it fun so I can get through it with a positive frame of mind! Only trouble is that hubby and I were out with friends last night and it was an extremely late night for us... so I am existing on about 5 hours sleep... which is not good. And I have meetings at work which require brain power. Methinks it could be a tricky old day to make it through!!
Have a wonderful Friday everyone, and a great weekend if I don't make it back!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Morning All
A list making day is what I need - think that will be tomorrows mission. Today I have mountains to climb at work but I'm looking forward to it - I've been pulled of my own work this week doing reconciliations between two systems and my brain was melting out of my ears by last night.....nothing a glass or three of wine didn't fix!
Have my niece staying tonight (what's another child when there's three here already?) and DD is soooo excited that her only cousin is having a sleep over!
Positive vibes for everyone today - lets get to the weekend !Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Morning peeps. At least it is brightening up here in Brum - I may well go out later and fill my car with petrol. Today is jobcentre day - I really need to know if the decision maker has made a flippin' decision as I am now moneyless:mad: I have applications to finish and submit too together with a revised CV for the barista job.
I was tweeting with Jeremy Vine from Radio 2 this morning as he posted a link to someone's blog who was talking about depression, it gave me some hope and as Jeremy doesnt follow me I publicly thanked him and he sent me a private message saying that I should be kind to myself and take things slowly because he understands what it is like to be depressed. He gave me a lift and also made me a bit sniffly.
I really must start tidying my flat and putting stuff into crates - I get depressed just looking at it. It isn't a frog but an enormous fat toad that needs to be eaten in little mouthfuls.
Good news about DS1 MG - I am glad he is getting some support from the teacher and some classmates.
Hope everyone has a fabby day - thank Crunchie It's Friday:D0
