Great news Auntie greenbee!
A day off work for me today, a bit of housework, a cuppa with a friend.... a good mix.
Have a great day everyone. If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Congratulations Greenbee - now take it easy today you have had a broken night.
I have managed to sew the arm scrolls on one sofa already this morning - AND IT WORKS!!!! I guess the stumbling block with diving in to upholster 2 sofas without having done any upholstery before is that you don't know the "tricks of the trade" and shortcuts ................... but I am getting there.
Souk - do you begin your training today? If so Good Luck Lassie, not that you will need it because you are always fabulous.
Heads down on the sofas after the school run (because I getting ever so slightly bored of long seam sewing - I've got a really cute pair of cords I want to "mod" into a Bodenesque skirt with applique and stuff. I know it will only take me an evening but I am determined not to start until the elephants in the room have got beautiful patchwork dresses on.

I've a question though, MG you'd probably know this- I've lost a fair bit of weight recently (stone and a half) and because I still have another 3 stone to lose, I don't want to/can't afford to buy new stuff. If I'm adapting my existing stuff, am I best just taking them in, or would I be better undoing the seams and starting again? I used to make lots of stuff, but have got out of the habit, and now only make cushions and curtains!
Also any ideas for cheap/easy patterns?

You have so hit the nail on the head with Dhs getting in the way MG - mine is back after his weekend away and is already getting in the way of my positive decluttering and doesn't really understand what I'm doing or why (have tried explaining briefly but his eyes glazed over)
Luckily he is off to work at 12 and not back till gone 10 tonight so I can pretend he doesn't exist and just get on with stuff:rotfl:Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Congratulations Greenbee - a lovely new niece for you
Horace, it is okay to sell to someone with 0 feedback if you want, some people don't in case of problems, but we all started with 0 feedback so it seems silly to knock back a potential new buyer. As for relisting items, unless you are desperate to get the money I would stick to my prices for another month and see if they sell, then maybe consider dropping the price. Depends how much your paying in fees really.Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21
