Oh my goodness what a roller coaster that must have been in the last 24 hours - didn't get a chance to check in yesterday and such a lot has happened. Firstly so sorry to hear about Boots - (((hugs))) to you all.

Then congratulations re the book sales, thats such excellent news being DF and you have worked so hard for it - well done.

Great news too re the magazine money - that will come in very handy I think :jnot to mention the publicity. You can give Kirsty a run for her money :rotfl:

Wow!!!!! What an amazing rollercoaster! So pleased for your good news MG but so sorry to hear about poor puss.

I'm very excited to be back. Our old computer died ages ago and when I tried to log in no joy. Requested a new password....still no joy. I'd pretty much given up but for some reason, when I asked for yet another new password this evening, the second time I entered it I got in!!!!!!!! No idea why it worked as I have had requested several new passwords before and tried both entering it myself and copy and paste. I put it down to yet another windows 7 gremlin but who knows. Anyway I have been reduced to lurking for months and months and months.

Fantastic memory, Bitsy. Back still has its good and not so good days even after two lots of surgery. H broke his leg but it's fine now, thanks. We are doing a lot of babysitting for no3 gs so daughter can pay her mortage. Thanks for asking.

It's good to be back amongst so many familiar posters and all the new folk and de-lurkers.

Sorry to hear about Boots. I do think, though, that the children have learnt yet another lesson that is better dealt with early. If you can accept 'Rainbow Bridge' as a softener that will be good but you have to hold by your own beliefs.

That may sound hard but I have many dearly loved pets waiting for me and it helped my children when they were young and my children have told their children the same tale - so the comfort continues. the poem is here.

I'm sure you know it anyway.

What a roller coaster of a day!
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
