Morning all
Feeling loads better today and the sun is shining bright.
Managed to get loads of jobs done in another town yesterday. I've almost finished my finance bit son here and all my ebay sales have watchers, one with it's first bid on so I'm hoping for some sales.
Friend for lunch so off to make some soup and muffins and then a quick tidy and dust around. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi Matrix...
I feel rubbish at the moment. Second day at home on the sofa, with cats snuggling up to the hottest thing in the house - me running a fever. Bleurgh. Voice has gone though, so hubby in for a quiet time. Managed to have a shower and get dressed today, which I didn't bother with yesterday... and just had breakfast of weetabix and milk, which is one of my "poorly" foods. And hubby got lots of fruit for me for vitamin C purposes. Bless him.
Right... back to day time TV - I must be ill; I am enjoying it!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Get well soon Crickett, I wish I was curled up watching daytime TV too, I feel rubbish as well, but just hope you don't succumb to the "joys" of watching Mr Kyle....*shudder*0

Good morning,just
I went back to bed with some pain killers woke up with a headache:( how can you wake up with a headache??? never mind went back to bed and slept and it has gone a bit, although my ear feels a bit funny and the side of my eye
Ds2 is in school and ds1 is in west wales doing his duke of edingbrough reward, Its suprising how much of a difference 1 less mouth is to feedwell 2 if you count when his gf has food with us (which has been most nights for the last few weeks.)
Anyway I went shopping yesterday and got some fab bargains, got a indian meal for 2 reduced to £2.99 and it fed the three of us great, there was plenty of food on the plates.
Bought a shoulder of pork that was half price in tesco, got a huge joint for £6.88, cut it in half and put it in the freezer, a ham joint in tesco reduced from £9.99 to £4.99some steamed pots and grapes and bananas reduced and some aero mousses on buy one get one free., then went to morrisons and got yet more bargains, roast paprika sausages reduced to 95p so picked 2 up, 2 chicken in wine sauce kits for £1.39 each, pork garlic and herb sausages reduced to £1.25 picked up 2 packs, another ham joint reduced to £3.09 and a huge pack of bacon reduced for £1,99, and £3 worth of luncheon meat for sarnies and some bread, all in all I spent £42.00.
So I'm hoping that lot will last a whileone ham joint is in the slow cooker and I'm going to do boiled ham, peas the steamed pots and parsley sauce for tea, Any suggestions for the juice and the left over ham greatly received

Wow Claire that sounds like a good haul. How about pea and ham soup?
Hope you both feel better soon Crickett and KK.
Sun is shining here, it's chilly sitting at my desk but I got warmed up by doing a bit of hoovering when I got too cold, it does have one advantage at least!0 -

Thank you thank you thank you lovely Matrix lady. Its been so long since I had a new book that I had forgotten how lovely it is to sit and flick through sipping a coffee.

My first thought was - what?? who me???
What should we tell them about?
The "Armageddon" cupboard - makes me laugh but my store cupboard could carry me through quite a disaster.
Or DS2's wardrobe for next size up make out of £12 of pound rack trousers and a sack of freecycle wool :rotfl:
What a giggle
