MG Can you freeze dough? Not a long time bread baker, though have been making much miore recently but I thought that it might kill the yeast? DS loves your hm pittas but there is always way too much dough for one bake, never imagined I could freeze it though.
Dough freezes fine - at least LIDL sells all those part-baked rolls so I am guessing that yeast doesn't get killed in the freezing process.
I make the pitta dough as usual then cut the dough into 8 / 10 pieces and roll out in to pitta shapes. I put them on a a silicon sheet in the freezer and open freeze them then pop them into to a rigid box to store (found out before that popping them into a bag just means broken pitta crisps instead)
In the morning I take a couple out and leave to defrost for 20 minutes before cooking for 4 minutes or so in my wee oven. Fresh pitta bread for lunch is so much lovelier that dry store bought.
So one batch of dough does him 4 - 5 lunches.
Hope this helps

Morning ladies and MG thanks but for manager roles it tends to be all be done online/with agencies and I'm doing more searching today. This face to face thing yesterday was quite unusual! The original job is SUPPOSED to come good this week but it wont hurt to look at a few others.
House day today for me!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Morning All,
Still broadbandless at home, but happy birthday Souk, MG glad the sofa is progressing well, and happy Tuesday to everyone
Over the weekend made some massive decsions, as well as moving, neddy will be moving to her new home at the weekend, to the very nice lady that came, vastly reduced finacial transaction, but the outcome will be better for all involved.
On the moving front, feel a lot better now I have actually moved, feel like we can get our life straight and face the next challenge head on, which will be the debt :rotfl::rotfl:.
Few more weeks to get straight and then off we go,
Thanks everyone seeing your various journeys, and changes over time has really helped us (me and ds) move on:T:D:T

Mmmmnn to flapjacks, one of my favourites.
Sounds like big changes freshair, (((hugs))) and well done to you and ds for your positive outlook.
Just having a funny aarrgghhh moment - ds has just appeared looking for clean socks & undies after his shower because he has none. Hmmnnn that'll be because you never put them in for washing son :rotfl:.
T-shirts, hoodies and trousers go in the washing basket no problem - socks, knickers and pj's never appear despite verbal reminders, picture reminders, lists..... Lord save me from straight-line thinking and confused processing... or maybe his processing is correct and I just haven't worked it out yet :rotfl:0 -
Thrifty, I suspect there is logic somewhere there.
I am back and shattered; but yesterda y was really interesting, informative and I did well again. My job was hard - I was a discussant but the papers were not written and submitted beforehand. So I had to listen, process and abstract (tell people what the implications are and why) in real time. Stressful - yeah; impossible - no). But you know what - without mind mapping I would have never managed to achieve the level of clarity I managed (and all noticed). So tools...and thank you MG.
Now I will have myself a good old finance day - mainly filling in claims which have slipped.

Overlocker playing silly beggars - so I have left it upstairs to sulk:D
Big Boy cat also not very well I think - he has drunk some water - and then was sick, not interested in food although he has groomed himself - so I am in two minds whether to take him around to the vet or wait until the morning.
And when we were out for a walk I got a card through from the Post Office - so need to collect a parcel in the morning. One of the Matrixettes has sent me something from Amazon so I am dead excited.:j:j
DS2 now saying he has a sore tummy - maybe he is out in sympathy with the cat??
MG
