Just to cheer me up .................. and because despite paying off this debt for 2 years I have NEVER received a statement - and despite two letters I have still not received a balance................
Original Debt (Personal Guarantee) £10,000
Payments made so far £8948
Finger in the air balance £1052
Balance in the Current Account (mortgage Offset) £1480
So depending on how much interest they have added over the term I could actually be within sniffing distance of being DEBT FREE!!!!!!
Dances off around the room!!!!!

I'm in a grump as in the last two days I have had notification from Tax Credits people that they want to see evidence of my self employed.
My details
Type of work and nature of my business
Dairy of bookings / appointments made
Copies of Adverts places
Breakdown of hours worked per week
Invoices for any work done
Receipts for any expenses paid
Now that is what I call a full audit.
Then today a letter from Council Tax - basically looking for the same.
So I am taking this as a sign that I need to get all my paperwork shipshape. So grumpy mood or not, I call this afternoon as a Power Day to pull everything out and get it sorted.
Pop the kettle on and grab my timer - Officially starts at 2pm.

Onto the second (with cuppa to fortify me LOL)

But it is done and the sun has come out - so all is well with the world - LOL

I will be back later to catch up but I need to dash off to pick DD from after school club and take her to beavers. I have been today on a course teaching me to be a better separate parent :rotfl: What an utter waste of time. I knew all that and am already doing all of it. I wish my ex would realise that I am not having a game plan and would drop his. We wouldn't be in this poo then.
Oh never mind, more coffee..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

This afternoon, I made a plan - tomorrow I am going to visit the NT property where I intend working (hark at me and I haven't submitted my application yet). This will refresh my memory as to the layout of the place and give me more ideas on how to improve things - I may treat myself to a piece of cake and cup of tea whilst I am there (purely for market research purposes I hasten to add). I will then be able to complete the application with ease then.
Still need milk but can't be bothered to go and get some so I am drinking Ovaltine that just needs water adding. Oh and the NT sent me some free PG Tips teabags that came in their magazine.0 -
Sounds like a plan Horace.
My back to work credit of £40 per week stops in 4 weeks - so the game is on to get rid of Big Horse Debt and get back on an even keel.
I have go a direct phone number for their Glasgow office and I shall be on the phone first thing to find out direct from the horses mouth what the interest damage is.
One last push - wouldn't it be great to be debt free by the 17th of December? That would be 10K gone in 2 years.
Off to pay £53 off using online banking - that way I shall owe just three figures instead of four - £999 to go :j
