Job not for me TMIF but I say go for it. Why do you say Lala Land. You can do anything that you decide that you want and can set your mind to. Have you learned nothing from the Matrix Ladies. With regard to the issues with your partner. I have a friend who took a job away when having some difficulties with her partner, made a heap of difference to them and they are now sorted and stronger than ever, albeit living apart. What have you got to lose?

Hi there. Probably the time has passed but after the comments on fashion and dress, I would like to mention that I never meant wearing both circulations stockings on the same leg. What I meant was having one on each leg - now I am wearing only one on one leg.

GB, hope flight is not too bumpy. I also hope that the wind would have died down by tomorrow - I don't travel well anyway and a bumpy flight can make me ill for days. Probably wise to take travel sickness tablets but then I'll sleep most of the flight and be comletely out of synch for the rest of the week.

flight was Ok... They avoided the worst of the turbulence. Stockings were on both legs. :)

Better get up... Will try to keep up with you all this week!

Plenty of reasons to stay here - family, secure job, good pension, friends, plenty of garden for the furbabies to run about in, a job that doesn't stretch the old noggin too much, general scaredness about moving away.

I made a decision to go for "average" jobs after I got over being ill last time - I would have to decide if I was ready to "think" at work yet or not.

For moving: more cash (but higher cost of living, higher transport costs), I've fancied it for quite a while (but never quite got around to doing it).

    Argh!

Ok I got my transfer :j And actually it means that I will be sitting where I sit now, and just people suffle around me :rotfl:Don't know when I am officially transferring but I guess it will be a gradual thing anyway.

  • Well done Marru! x
  • Fantasia  Lovely to 'see' you. Is it really a year? I think I was still lurking round the corner. ;)

I'm so glad things are better and you and Leyla are well.

    Don't be a stranger!
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Well as long as the reasons are right for you to stay that is all that matters. You do what is right for you but remember to stretch yourself a little sometimes (its good for the soul). Have a read of Feel the Fear and do it anyway. As for moving, you will do it when the time is right for you to.

I just got offered a job by the company that I was interviewed by last week. Not the one that I applied for but another one. The money still isnt great so need to go away and do my sums and have a long think. Probably be NO but at least I know that I can now get a job in the area that I am looking at.

  • Oh Boy!!! Its frrrrreeeeeezzing!!!

The wind is blowing in from Siberia and I am sure it is all blowing right through the crack in my living room windows and right onto me sitting at my desk.

I have done a whole pot of ginger and lemon tea this afternoon trying to keep the chill off. DS1 is now home and so time to get us all fleeced up and a hot dinner - then I am hoping it is stories on the sofa tonight - snuggle under the big blankets.

Repeat after me - the heating is not going on, the heating is not going on , the heating is NOT going on.

But apart from that I have had a lovely time uploading loads of bakery blog posts for the MFi3 challenge. Goodness we have made some yummy stuff on these threads over the year.

    Hello gang

I thought I had better venture in. seeing as I fell into MSE again (I should be doing some work but....). It is great to catch up with what folks have been doing too.

My day has been a bit strange - I was supposed to be running my own networking group this morning but as folks didnt confirm their attendance so I couldnt confirm numbers with the venue, I assumed that no-one was bothered so went networking somewhere else. Well, it seems that folks were bothered and turned up and I wasnt there - I had better dust off the crystal ball and recharge it:rotfl: Still, this mornings's meeting in Birmingham City Centre was productive as I made some great connections and have been asked to organise a business lunch where I can make some money:cool: What might happen is that the breakfast networking meet may just move back to Bham City Centre because people are asking which demonstrates that there is a need.

I did not get home til gone 3pm either because I was wandering about town (I walked about 2 miles back to the bus stop), I got a bus to Northfield but it was the bus that doesnt go past my place which meant another trip on the bus, however, I took one look at the clouds and dived into Aldi, timing my exit from the store just after the rain had stopped (although laden with a huge bag of oven chips, some salt your own crisps, a pack of Jive biccies {like Twix only nicer} and a pack of posh biccies. I walked to the next stop and managed to get a bus home to save me walking down the hill and my oven chips thawing out.

Best update my own diary and have a mooch before I distract myself with more work.:D
