    Good morning

I feel a bit better today, just put WM on cause it looked like it could be a nice day, as there was blue skies, only to find once WM was put on the sky went very grey and dull:( looks like another day of drying indoors :(

Got to go to the hospital for swabs today, so I can have the injection in my back on friday.

My house looks like a chinese laundry Claire, no tumble-drier here lol - that's one good thing about when the heating goes on, the washing dries so much faster. I always remember reading one American lady's lightbulb moment when she realised she lived in the desert so !!!!!! was she doing using a tumble-drier. Made me giggle anyway.

Well time to get on with it. Have a good one folks, Thriftyxxx

  • Woohooo!!! small celebration Chez MG this morning.

Thanks mostly to my mad "30 soups in September" challenge I have £10 left in my food budget from the beginning of the month.

That's not including my £5 per week stock cupboard budget - just money left over.

The fridge is full and so if the freezer and I have everything in to do us until Sunday - so I ff to deposit my £10 in my brand spanking new Credit Union Account.

    Yipeee!!!!

Infact MrsMoo - you're probably worth even more than you can think you are...

I was looking at jobs this morning (between blubs!) (a little bit harder than my current one, but still well within my capabilities really) - and they are paying double what I earn here. There were contract roles - £250 a day. I can't believe anyone would pay ME (or someone with equal skills to me) that much... I'd be tempted, except I have a !!!!!! to deal with and I don't want to live near Gatwick...

Talking of Fuglies.... here goes nothing... I fear a sticky outcome xx
Wow, that sounds an amazing job TMIF might be tempted myself if I knew more about it. I think that we do all underestimate our worth, not only in terms of earnings but in terms of how we allow ourselves to be treated. I hope that you reach a conclusion with !!!!!!. Hugs to help you through whatever the outcome is. You know where we all are.

MG - great news every little helps doesnt it? You seem really up and confident right now (a little glimpse of the old Make Do and Mend attitude there which is great too)

I can get you the link if you like - Senior Cost Analyst, Nr Gatwick for an air freight company ;)

I am afraid I have nothing to report on the other yet!

That would be good TMIF if you dont mind. If I see the job description then I can decide. As for the other, Hmmm its a hard one. I have a tendency to go with my instincts on such matters and, unfortunately, have had some tough decisions to make. All I can say is that even though the decisions were tough at the time, life went on and has improved eventually.
