The Matrix - Re-Evolution!!

Souk - i've gone with your suggestion of linen trousers. Dark green ones, that go nicely with the stockings
I've also realised why I didn't have a problem with luggage weight last year... Self check-in ... They check the size but not the weight of the case. It's not as much over as it was anyway...
Curtains are down, bed stripped, DW emptied, utility room spider scared. Hot water is off and I'm eating the last of the stewed apple for breakfast. Then it's just cleaning teeth and turning off the router and I should be ready when the taxi gets here. I'll be dropping in while I'm away. I hope the flight isn't too bumpy as it's very windy outside!0 -
Hope you have n easy flight hon.
The light through my window has a very peculiar brown tinge to it this morning - grey we are used to but this is just plain weird. I'm guessing it's the leading edge of Katia drifting over. Hatches are battened and we are definitely on amber alert so I may lose internet access - so If I go AWOL I will get Mr F to post on the matrix for me.
Another day of uploading posts and tutorials for MFi3 - today I am doing recipes and crafty stuff which should be lovely sitting snuggled up when the weather breaks.................. and yet another jersey for DS2 started last night when watching the telly (well sometimes you need a simple back and forward pattern that your hands can do whilst you head is occupied)
I'm practising some simple cable and texture work (had a lesson from one of my neighbours over the weekend) so the sweater is plain to the yoke and then crazy with swirly bits.
Best of all - FREE as the three balls of wool were in the Freecycle bag - Yay!!!!
Lets see if we get through Katia WITHOUT putting the heating on.

Good morning to all and my thoughts are with those in the path of the strong winds. We're not forecast as bearing the brunt of the storm but it already blew our bedroom door open - which is pretty rare.
Special thoughts to Greenbee on flying through it.
Claire : Do rest and drink. You can't take chances with your waterworks! I do know how difficult it is to let them muddle through but, who knows, they may appreciate how hard you work and remember it later - I did say "may". :rotfl:
Stay safe, all.But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Hope it all goes well GB.
Take it easy Claire.
Wet and windy here today too. Hope it doesn't put Mummy Souk off coming up. Her immune system has to be supressed due to her illness so its not great for her to get damp, cold and susceptible to illness but she's up for coming up and doing some shopping today and ...I could do with seeing her! She always sorts out any attacks of the wibbles with her practical no nonsense advice. I'm very much my mothers daughter I guess!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Morning Matrix, from a very blustery Nottinghamshire... the weather looked dreadful this morning so I spent a good few minutes digging in my tights and underwear drawer for a pair of tights!! I got to work and I am sweltering! It looks autumnal, but the temperature is still summer-ish!!
I shall be hot all day then!
Feeling very down in the dumps at the moment. Trying to stay positive but it is hard work!!
Hope you feel better soon Claire - take care and don't do too much.
Bon voyage Greenbee.
I am sending positive vibes for Souk.

Morning all
Safe vibes for all travelling and getting a lashing by the wind. Windy and wet here but not of a scary nature and very mild.
Feel quite exhausted after a busy weekend so this morning I shall be having a post weekend tidy and a bit of a clean up and then visiting a friend this after for a cuppa and a bulb ordering session. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Good luck for flying across the pond Greenbee.
A wee bit blowy out. Had to laugh this morning - dd was beautifully styled, ready to knock 6th form dead but ended up leaving the house to catch the bus in Mum's waterproof - sort of brought the image down-to-earth with a bump.
Need to make plans this morning on simplifying my 'puter reading list. It's taking a lot of my time keeping up with MSE posts, Matrix posts and Matrix blogs. Whilst I love them all, I need to bring them under control and choose a few prime suspects to keep up with. Anyone else struggling to keep up???
Will report back later if I find a solution.
Have a good Monday all, Thriftyxxx0 -
