Afternoon everyone.
I currently have approx 5lbs (at least!!) of cooking apples courtesy of my lovely friend. Been round to hers this morning for coffee and apple picking :T Will share goodies with mum and one of her friends as as much as I like apples there are far too many even for me.
I think perhaps I need to add another couple of bags of plain flour to tomorrows shopping list as marathon pastry session starts :rotfl:
Feeling quite motivated at the moment, am enjoying have term time free (aside from DD who's yet to start afternoon nursery) although I still have a list of frogs I need to chomp on but they're not a 5 minute thing but a slow work in progress.
OK enough waffle, better go and finish making cottage pie for tea.
robsmum - :T:T on clearing that debt
Positive vibes for all.

Scarf cast off - looks so nice I am tempted to keep it for myself.
Head is spinning slightly as spent some time with MrF sorting out techie stuff - think I have got my head around it now though.
Off to take little to the playpark for an hour or so

Emergency shop done... There was no way I could mend the skirt hem properly at such short notice, but I remembered that I'd seen the same skirt in the shop a couple of weeks ago as the suit is one they do from year to year. Even better, it was 20% off today, so I got another dress to go with the same suit (different style dress). Both will be well used for work as they travel brilliantly. I also found a nice jersey dress at the same discount (now need to get grey tights), and picked up some more iron tablets plus a few more necessities. It was a very quick shop!
I have realised that I need a couple of pairs of flat shoes (I have heels, sheepskin boots, flip-flops and walking sandals) and a pair of black boots. I hate shoe shopping. Love shoes, hate buying them.0 -

My mulberry scarf is nearly done ( knitted all the time "Shoes" was here for coffee and a natter) - its one of those with a keyhole in one end to thread the scarf through - such a bonny colour.
MG
That is the still of one I want to make with a keyhole. I'll do a pic after the school run.
Got a few more bits from the scrap store
A heap of books from the library
Tested out the library Ancestry website - they have full access so I won't need to upgrade mine, I'll just note down the records I need and visit the library (need to work out how to use a USB stick first - DS1 can teach me that)
Oxfam bag of donation = £5 off at M&S
Socks and tights bought for myself and DS3 (he loves new socks) with £5 off
Butter I like on offer so stocked up on that too.

Please can I put out a plea on behalf of Hovel Lady ? She is thinking of finishing her diary on MSE because some of the content was deemed 'inappropriate' by the powers that be. I am not a member of the 'other side' so I was wondering if it she might be better off posting on there ? Not sure how it works and if she would be able to post her own thread on there ?
